When will ATRL understand that the stature of the artist doesn't matter, if the song isn't great it won't be a hit.

When will we stop making this an excuse for every under-performing single?  There is no, NO reason why this song shouldn't hardcore smash.

girl WHAT about Malibu sounds like anything that's been on radio in the past few years?

I never said it did? :celestial5:

if selena's video on spotify counts and has big streams she can be in top 15?

Have it 8 million streams behind #15 in those predictions. If the rest stays the same.

But what? There are videos on Spotify? Never heard about that

Don't mind 'I'm the One' being so high, it's pretty catchy.

Girl it's not an excuse, I don't like the song and I'm explaining why it's not a big hit. Of course it matters if the song is good or not.

So what's your reasoning for "The Cure" and its current underperformance worldwide? :celestial5: There is no, NO reason why this song shouldn't hardcore smash.

she literally hasn't promoted the song and has been filming a movie :rip:

It doesn't have a video, performances, and has a lyric video you can't read :-*

Beiber was featured in two crap songs and both went #1.

Stop. The songs are amazing and went to number one because of that combined with the big name artists attached to them.

Everyone has different opinions of what songs are good vs bad. The artist attached to a song can easily make it a hit, regardless of your OPINION of the song.

That's not a fact. If a very established artist released a bad song it will flop either way

Very often it isn't the song flopping, it is times changing. Is Katy and Gaga really flopping, or are they part of the current trend and chart formula that has completely destroyed women on the charts.

... them not doing as well as before has nothing to do with women being "destroyed", it's just a cycle, right now female singers aren't delivering good music overall, just like male singers were overshadowed in the early 2010's by female ones. They'll eventually be more present on the charts again.

Just saying I love I'm The One and Despacito. In my opinion both are amazing songs and deserved the top spot. :dancehall:
