I don’t usually get riled up by queerbaiting like a lot of other people online do, but Charlie’s antics are too much even for me  Although I guess I shouldn’t be surprised this is coming from the same person who openly admits he makes basic, generic music that doesn’t reflect his own musical talent to try to get hits

the thing abut queer baiting for me is that sometimes it does feel fun and exciting. sometimes it doesn’t bother me at all. other times, it makes me mad and I have to stop for a second and think… “is my reaction to this specific instance or is it just the built up frustration from years and years of queer baiting from celebs that felt manipulative?” and the answer is never clear lol

 

so basically I see both sides. I don’t think Charlie has any ill intent, but I know responses to queer baiting are pretty individual
