Good for Ricky I guess. Must be traumatizing to have a nephew that would make such a disturbing allegation.

I still have a lot of unanswered questions - starting with the manager and whether she was working with the nephew to get her pay out before leaving.

Also how in the hell he got a restraining order.

No offense, but some people seem to have been gunning for this to be true from the beginning. Reveling in drama and trauma porn really does seem to be a thing on the Internet.

a) The manager issue is probably a separate one. She referenced a "career ending allegation" in September 2020. That was almost 2 years ago.

b) Getting a restraining order in Puerto Rico (and in the US in general) isn't difficult if the accuser has very serious accusations. Accusing your uncle of having a sexual relationship with you, stalking you and domestic abuse is very serious. All you need to is file the paperwork and ask a judge. The point of the actual trial is to prove that the accusations are true.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but just because the nephew withdrew his accusation does not prove anything. There can be a whole other story behind the scenes which nobody now will know about. Britney Spears proved how powerful people within the establishment can do unimaginable things. The nephew is very young and a "nobody" to go against Ricky Martin and his supporters even if he tells the truth.

It was also revealed he never got a restraining order to begin with, there was a ton of proofs against the nephew from his own father, his ex GF who had a restraining order for domestic violence against him etc... Ricky's team dug out all the receipts and didn't even showed them to court. He probably saw the list of receipts and backed out.

And THIS is why unproven accusations should not be unsealed to the public and the media. Ricky needs to file defamation lawsuits against the nephew, his ex-manager and every tabloid rag that depicted him as an incestuous pedophile.

While the bolded part is true, your comment about your "opinion" is telling. This has nothing to do with opinions. It's either true or not. The nephew has a history of lying that's been legally recorded. Your "opinion" here doesn't contradict that.

As for Britney, you keep shoehorning her into this topic. That drama involves family members using their famous relative. If anything, the parallel only fits here because the famous person here seems to be targeted by a family member.

The receipts don't even need to be dug up. It's on official court records available to the public. He has a long history of lying. :deadbanana2:

I just do not trust the legal side/aspect of stories like this. I was a huge fan of Ricky and do not want this to be true but things are not that simple and reliable just because there are official records. Judges can be bribed and courts can be corrupt. I mentioned Britney because she said that she had revealed her issues to officials, judges and other people outside her family and nobody helped her for so many years, which leads me to believe that the system can be extremely corrupt. It was the fans who started the movement and tried to expose that she is a victim, not the court or the judges, eventually the media jumped on the bandwagon but if it wasn't for her fans, nobody would have exposed the truth. In this case the nephew does not have such a following and the legal system can be easily swayed against him.

I have updated the OP, but not y’all acting like this was an acquittal, when it was just the nephew withdrawing his claims.

“We're told Ricky was on zoom during the court hearing but never addressed the court nor did he make any statements. His nephew put a quick end to the case by saying he wanted to drop it”

Many factors could’ve been the reason why. One of them might even be that the claims were untrue. I don’t think this means innocence, but I also won’t hold it against Ricky.
