Travis Scott's festival comeback canceled

Thank god I didn't buy tickets to this :rip: I wanted to see him but these festivals don't know how to handle crowds.

He just sold out in O2 London in a matter of minutes so I think he’s still good.

Not sure how else to say this, but within his fanbase I think the crowd crush made him more popular. Similar to DaBaby.

Like, it's always been his brand and his fans don't care what anyone else thinks.

There are some things that even Kylie and Kris Jenner can’t save you from. Being uninsurable is one of them. Once you’re uninsurable, you’re done.

I doubt the cancellation had anything to do with Travis. If the promoters were that concerned about him, they either wouldn't have booked him in the first place or would have replaced him with another performer instead of cancelling the entire festival.

Before today, there were rumblings that a large festival was about to be cancelled due to poor ticket sales. Maybe that's what happened, along with the festival being in September this year instead of November like it has been in the past.

The way Live Nation managed to escape ALL the bad press and liability onto Travis :rip: Honestly, he should be suing them!

Don't know what press you've been reading but Live Nation considers this a "bet all stakes" case that could bankrupt the company :rip:

Damages are now approaching $12 billion :rip:

They couldn't give a damn about what Travis is trying to do or has done :celestial5:

I was referring to public image, which is arguably more important than the financial loses they will have to pay (I’m not buying the bankrupt talk).

They have come out completely unscathed in the public eye. Most of the outrage people have for Travis, should be directed towards them. Yes, he had a history of ‘raging’, but it is them who is responsible for security, tickets allocation, etc… and who would’ve had more power in stopping the show.

People are screaming boycott Travis left and right, while they will still be attending festivals and concerts produced by Live Nation.

the fact that he himself is so willing to do festivals again after that catastrophe just 7 months ago is so strange to me. why is he this out of touch? why is he so inconsiderate to the victims and this ongoing case. at least do arena shows from now on. his festivals are notoriously known to be dangerous.

I agree on the hypocrisy, but Travis has culpability in this case, period, full stop. Not as much as Live Nation, fine, and whether it reaches the level of criminal liability I don't know.

But, it's literally his festival. There were thousands of people without tickets on the property hours prior. Lights should've been up on the crowd and the show stopped until the golf cart ambulance had completely cleared the crowd, which he didn't do, despite seeing it (including someone dancing on top of it). That's just the start - you can't default to the people on his team when he's literally the ones that technically hired them. He needs to have hired a better team - that's how these things work.

I get he wants to get back out there but its too soon.

His music is crap anyway let's be honest. Nothing of value was lost.

Yeah it’s kinda bizarre to me that everyone blames Travis for what happened when he’s far from the only artist to encourage rowdiness at shows. He’s not completely blameless but clearly something else took place there. Seemed like horrendous organizing.
