Companion Posted August 15, 2022 Posted August 15, 2022 I liked the concepts and main ideas behind the episodes but the way the stories delivered feels like its aimed for middle schoolers Show is enjoyable and not boring to watch thats for sure but I am kinda expected better from Ryan Murphy at least for the plot twists and endings. All he is giving us for the AHS is just great gowns and beautiful gowns for last few years. We have seen much better writing and story delivering from his other shows like Feud, ACS, The Politician etc... I am just mad he completely dont give a s*** about this franchise.
Jack! Posted August 15, 2022 Posted August 15, 2022 The problem I have with AHS is under all the frills there is always potential for a good storyline, but it eventually gets lost/minced along the way because they rely on regurgitated gimmicks that take the element of surprise out of it. I feel like that was Double Feature's problem, somewhere in both halves there was a good story but it always gets lost along the way. Series 1-4 were each individually their own stature, and after that mostly each season has became some kind of repeat of it's predecessor. Hotel was basically Murder House but set in a hotel, Apocalypse was total fan service because I don't think they could think of anything else to do, this again mirrored in Dollhouse of this series. 1984 had the potential to be one of the best series, an 80's slasher/whodunnit but instead it became Murder House but set in a campsite... like. Shout out to Roanoke and Cult for at least serving something a bit different, for all their flaws. Even with all this I'm way too engrossed in the franchise to switch off, so I guess Ryan stays winning anyway.
Almodusa Posted August 15, 2022 Posted August 15, 2022 Interesting concept for this episode. It was cute. Nice to see Cody.
halcyonday Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 it was interesting but what happened next? what happened to the entire town? why was there a scene of the kid drinking the milk? it needed like 10 more mins at least.
PrettyBoy16 Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 Bloody Mary was a step up from the last two episodes. Loved it.
Spooky Mulder Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 Hands down the best episode of the season.
Hurem Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 Better than the last episode, but the writing was serving Disney XD channel. It really brought down the episode

stjosephprey4us Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 this was really good. Blood Mary = Dollhouse (Dollhouse had a better plot and writing, but the acting of Bloody Mary was a million times better) > Drive = Aura >>>>>>>>>> the pits of hell >>>>>>>> Milk Maids. Also, notice how every time POC are the focus of AHS it elevates the show like a million levels.
publikcitizen Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 that was a really interesting episode. i really liked the twist on the bloody mary mythology. that was cool.
FameFatale Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 Really enjoyed Bloody Mary. I couldn't even make it through last week's Milkmaids. So far, imo... Drive = Dollhouse > Bloody Mary > Aura >>>>> Milkmaids
Club classic Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 This season is actually good I think? I'm shocked
Companion Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 (edited) Oh this episode was actually good. I liked their take on the bloody mary and the plot twist wasn't that obvious this time. Bloody Mary > Aura = Dollhouse >>>> Milkmaids > Drive Edited August 18, 2022 by Companion
slik Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 I feel like the plot twist is sort of the same every episode 'A person you thought was good is actually bad'
Hector Posted August 19, 2022 Posted August 19, 2022 (edited) I loved this episode and genuinely got chills as Bloody Mary has always scared me Dominique Jackson made for a great Bloody Mary and I was transfixed by her. Very impressed to see another Oscar Nominated actress with Quevezhane Wallis after Gabourey Sidibe earlier this season. The twists were very well hidden Spoiler The fact that she became Bloody Mary after killing the slave owners and her relative was a surprise twist. And the fact that she needed the blood of innocents to free herself from the Bloody Mary role and the girl is stuck after killing her sister Did not see one of the girls killing the other two as well coming! Hurem Posted August 20, 2022 Posted August 20, 2022 Just got caught up with the first season and I have to say I don't understand the hate towards it. Other than Game Over, which was a complete lackluster, the other episodes were okay at worst. Feral > BA'AL > The Naughty List ≥ Drive In ≥ Rubber Woman 1 > Rubber Woman 2 >>> Game Over Most episodes were too short, while the premises were actually interesting. Even though I did find the first half The Naughty List cringey, it turned out quite a good episode. Wished it was 20 minutes longer. Same with Drive In - interesting plot, but it ends so abruptly. The Ruby actress in Murder House episodes was SO bad It was painful to watch.
Almodusa Posted August 22, 2022 Posted August 22, 2022 Oh nice twist in BM! Dominque served of course
Dylangaga Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 Come through, Facelift! Lake is giving me The Grudge vibes!

Dylangaga Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 That was the best Stories episode overall! Judith Light was amazing!
slik Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 This is the best episode of the season so far, easily Judith Light and Rebecca Dayan were great.
Taylucifer Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 this new ep is actually really good! i wish all the eps were this good
Hurem Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Facelift was one of the most disturbing episodes of AHS overall. The best episode this season, easily.
