JoeAg Posted June 30, 2022 Share Posted June 30, 2022 the melody is so novel and F minor feels like such a unique key for a hit pop song tbh in addition to that, the production is flawless and timeless, with every complexity in the right pocket. the lyrics have also never felt nonsensical to me, they convey a sort of eerie perspective on a new relationship imo. the chorus is like her denying that they seem right but then she lets herself not be so doubtful for a second another GENIUS element is that that perfect pop chorus only occurs twice, practically begging the listener to replay the song. all in all it’s just a coalescence of ethereal qualities which make it one of the greatest and most fascinating mainstream pop singles of all time Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
