Which is why the salary difference is kind of weird? 80k less a year as the executive of a significantly smaller organization and two of them constituting half of all employee payroll. Are all the lower level employees volunteers or something?  Disproves an idea made by someone else earlier in the thread.

It's not weird at all, Gaga's mother, Cynthia, is essentially doing three jobs now and gets paid accordingly.  The CEO of Trevor Foundation probably just shows up to events and helps fundraise and gets paid more than her.  Things that Cynthia does in her free time.  Just because a foundation or business is small does not mean people shouldn't get paid for the work they do nor does it mean they need to take a cut to "look good".  Like I said before, Cynthia was getting paid $0 since the foundation was started up until 2018, which is also when she started getting more and more involved in the actual operations and projects of BTWF rather than relying on others to do it for her (when she wasn't getting paid at all).  

 

The other employees are paid employees, the site you linked to does not break down salaries for everyone else.  The other major employees listed at $0 are not volunteers, they are directors/senior level people in semi-advisory positions who do not rely on the BTWF for their sole income and probably donate to the foundation itself (like Gaga).  

 

I understand why one would be curious about a foundation's finances because you don't want people, especially minorities, to get ripped off.  That is clearly not the case here, especially when there are tangible examples of how the BTWF has helped real people and has various initiatives, programs, and research projects listed plain and clear on their website for you to browse through.  

 

The reason why you're getting dragged is because this foundation exists solely to help communities many people on this website belong to and you didn't even bother to try and understand the research and numbers you've presented.  I've watched many of the talks BTWF has hosted over the years, even my former employer had an entire series of discussions and live activities in partnership with the BTWF to educate people on equality, mental health, emotional intelligence, kindness, etc.  Attended by over 1k people across the world.

I just know gays working in Gaga's team were reading ATRL and thinking it was a serious thread in which trolls were trying to paint LADY GAGA out of all people as homophobe or whatever. This is why we can't have nice things sometimes, thank god Gaga handles the gays with grace because I know I wouldn't and would put all of y'all in your place after everything I've done for LGBTQ rights since The Fame era

Those $0 salary people listed under key employees and officers are mostly board members that help, every other salary paid out in the company is literally detailed under “Other salaries and wages”. There’s no excluded salaries here. They have to be reported for transparency purposes.

 

You’re also clearly biased because you assume Gaga’s mother does more than the CEO of the Trevor project based on… literally nothing. 

You’re telling me that I don’t understand the numbers when I think you’re the one that isn’t seeing the plain as day issues. 
 

In NO way am I saying the BTWF doesn’t do good for the community, all I was saying is sometimes it’s good to be conscious of overhead costs when you’re donating to a cause so your dollar goes farther towards the ACTUAL issue.
