KnightOfAllRealms Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 I read SciFi novels because 90% of them are terribly Dystopian and depressing that I immediately feel better about the life I'm currently leading. Read two 700 page SciFi over the weekend and I'm actually feeling comforted and grateful that I live in a cozy timeline with minimal harm to me or my loved ones. What about y'all?

shookspeare Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 I'll usually lift weights for 30 mins or so, take a shower, and force myself to go outside. Usually works well even if I really don't want to do any of that in the moment
ariananext Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 shower, light a candle and relax doing things I like

kandicha Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 I go for a run… the pain of the run makes me forget about the pain of my life and then I feel much better afterwards.
HausofNick Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Write. It's the best way I can release my emotions. Especially being miserable with my PhD rn, it's the best way I'm able to escape the toxic **** I deal with daily.
FameFatale Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Put down my phone and walk outside, clean the house with music blasting, anything to keep busy.

Start with something simple like walking in the park for 20 minutes. Gradually, turn your walking exercise to running/jogging for 20 minutes. Do this everyday if you could. Once you get used to it, do simple exercise like weightlifting (start with 3 kg dumbbell) and push ups/ sit ups. Once you are comfortable, gradually opt for something more strenuous.
