Renan90 Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 (edited) Drake Achieves 11th No. 1 Album on Billboard 200 Chart With ‘Honestly, Nevermind’ He's one of only five acts with more than 10 No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 chart. Drake’s Honestly, Nevermind debuts atop the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated July 2), giving the superstar his 11th No. 1 on the chart. The surprise release was announced on June 16, and the album dropped at midnight on June 17. The set is a sonic left-turn from the hip-hop giant, as it is “almost entirely composed of moody electronic atmospherics and body-moving dancefloor heat” and “leans on the house music scene” with collaborations from “seven house music producers with varying degrees of mainstream fame.” Drake becomes the fifth act with more than 10 No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 since the chart began regularly publishing on a weekly basis in 1956. He joins The Beatles (who lead with a record 19 No. 1s), Jay-Z (14), Bruce Springsteen and Barbra Streisand (each with 11). Honestly, Nevermind launches with 204,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending June 23, according to Luminate. Streaming activity powered 94% of the album’s first week sum. Also in the new top 10, Kevin Gates collects his fifth top 10 on the Billboard 200, as Khaza arrives at No. 8. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. The new July 2, 2022-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on June 28. For all chart news, follow @billboard and @billboardcharts on both Twitter and Instagram. Of Honestly, Nevermind’s 204,000 equivalent album units earned, SEA units comprise 191,000 (equaling 250.23 million on-demand official streams of the set’s tracks), album sales comprise 11,000 and TEA units comprise 2,000. The 14-track Honestly, Nevermind bows with the fourth-largest streaming week for an album in 2022, by on-demand official streams: 250.23 million. Notably, the three larger weeks this year were all scored by albums with a longer tracklist (all in their debuts weeks): Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti (356.55 million from 23 tracks), Kendrick Lamar’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers (343.02 million; 18 tracks) and Future’s I Never Liked You (283.75 million; 22 tracks). https://www.billboard.com/music/chart-beat/drake-honestly-nevermind-billboard-200-chart-debut-no-1-1235106431/ Billboard 200:#1(new)@Drake, Honestly, Nevermind 204,000 [250.23 million on-demand streams | 11,000 pure sales]. Ger Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Drake having a #1 album and single in his flop era, he won I fear. Congrats to 21 Savage too, it's been a while I've seen him in the Top 10 I believe. 3 songs inside the Top 10, ok Drake, I see you, that's amazing. Joji going up, radio better get on board, that's a smash waiting to happen right there. RUTH better hold on to that Top 10, excited for next week!
fridayteenage Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Quote “Jimmy Cooks,” released on OVO/Republic Records, tallied 42.2 million streams. “Sticky” debuts at No. 6 and “Falling Back” bows at No. 7 on the Hot 100, with 28.8 million and 27.8 million streams. One more top 5 isn't what one would have predicted a few weeks ago (compared to bunny/future/kendrick getting 2), but still impressive given the divisive reception.
Ger Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Quote Drake adds his 11th Hot 100 No. 1. He ties Whitney Houston for the seventh-most leaders among all acts and passes Stevie Wonder to claim the second-most among male soloists. Most Billboard Hot 100 No. 1s: 20, The Beatles 19, Mariah Carey 14, Rihanna 13, Michael Jackson 12, Madonna 12, The Supremes 11, Drake 11, Whitney Houston 10, Janet Jackson 10, Stevie Wonder Meanwhile, here’s a recap of Drake’s 11 Hot 100 No. 1s: “What’s My Name?,” Rihanna feat. Drake (one week at No. 1, beginning Nov. 20, 2010) “Work,” Rihanna feat. Drake (nine weeks, beginning March 5, 2016) “One Dance,” Drake feat. WizKid & Kyla (10 weeks, beginning May 21, 2016) “God’s Plan” (11 weeks, beginning Feb. 3, 2018) “Nice for What” (eight weeks, beginning April 21, 2018) “In My Feelings” (10 weeks, beginning July 21, 2018) “Toosie Slide” (one week, April 18, 2020) “What’s Next” (one week, March 20, 2021) “Way 2 Sexy,” Drake feat. Future and Young Thug (one week, Sept. 18, 2021) “Wait for U,” Future feat. Drake & Tems (one week, May 14, 2022) “Jimmy Cooks,” Drake feat. 21 Savage (one week to-date, July 2, 2022) Plus, “Jimmy Cooks” is Drake’s record-extending seventh song to debut at No. 1 on the Hot 100, following “God’s Plan,” “Nice for What,” “Toosie Slide,” “What’s Next,” “Way 2 Sexy” and “Wait for U.” Further, Drake ties The Beatles for the most top five Hot 100 hits: 29 each. Madonna (28) and Mariah Carey (27) follow. The way he used to have these massive number-one smashes, and then just little quick #1 singles tho.
Ger Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Weeks in Top 10 32: Heat Waves 12: As It Was 11: First Class 8: WAIT FOR U 7: About Damn Time 4: Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God) 2: Glimpse of Us 1: Jimmy Cooks, Sticky & Falling Back

Green Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Did Harry block Jack on the Billboard pop airplay chart? Because they usually mention when a new song hits #1 on Billboard Pop Airplay.

Just a Gay on ATRL Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Considering Honestly NEVERMIND was almost universally panned by the GP, I’m pretty impressed he nonetheless managed to score a #1 debut. The #1 song may be the obvious “this is for my regular rap fans, I’ll throw you all one bone” song of the album, but it shows his power of over 13 years after initially blowing up. Not an easy feat. I feel like he could break The Beatles record at this point. He is not showing any signs of slowing down and his next project will definitely be back to more rap-based. He is very smart to know when to go back to giving people what they want lmao.
slw84 Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 (edited) Drake ties in 7th place with Whitney houston for having 11 #1 hits. Coming to snatch MJ's all the way up Edited June 27, 2022 by slw84
