The amount of people on my feeds that are just now waking up to what's been going on in politics/the supreme court. :rip: SO many Americans have been asleep for so f$cking long.

And I'll bet you at least half of them never vote :coffee2:

I think it’s time for me to seriously consider moving to a blue state or leaving the country altogether. I just can’t anymore. What a failure of country. Can’t even protect and uphold basic human rights.

I'm gonna go with the belief that you're trolling right now if you don't understand how straight is a binary and are therefore insulted.

You be blessed. I won't be replying.

This makes ZERO sense, rightwing atrlers said that it was the trans women that were the problem and we need to focus on eradicating Islam!

I REFUSE to accept the reality that the christian right is the problem in america, no amount of mass shootings and religiously motivated assaults could convince me, my narrative requires colored people overseas to be the bad guys!

Every. Single. Gay man that was cheering on the assault on trans rights because they thought they were in the clear has fault in this. A house divided is a house to fall.

Everyone participating in lgbt spaces, please be safe, you'll be seeing antigay bashings making a mainstream comeback.

The right/conservatives/fundamentalist whatever they identify as in your neck of the woods, hate ALL NONBINARIES, this includes you too, gay men!

Tell those airheads.

I’m honestly scared to be a black gay man in America today and in the future. This country is so backwards, and evil

My conspiracy theory is that they're doing all this and Dems are purposefully turning a blind eye because it's some coordinated effort between both to bring the country's dwindling birth rate back up. Population is literally exploding in the east (China, India) and US' superpower status is ****** in the future if they get seriously outnumbered in man power so they're doing the most for sustenance on that regard, I fear.

China now has one of the lowest birth rate in the world actually, especially for a developing country.

Very weird country. They can't ban the guns and let 3947283782 children die in the classroom but they ban this.

Just so you know, that user is correct. Google the definition of “binary” and you will see that it is a word that can apply to most things. Non-binary *is* a gender identity, but many things can also be non-binary when any sort of binary exists. You could say that a cucumber doesn’t fit the “fruit and vegetable” binary because it contains seeds (a fruit) but is green and not sweet (traits of a vegetable). In that sense, gay men usually don’t fit the binary view of being male because they possess feminine traits. That doesn’t mean that their gender identity is non-binary (the way the term is usually used nowadays since those identities have entered the mainstream consciousness, which is why you are confused), but it means that in relation to an existing binary - the masculine, strong, woman-obsessed male - they are non-binary. This goes for all queer people, and even straight men who are girly and women who are tomboys. Just because “non-binary” is a gender identity doesn’t mean the term is used to describe that exclusively. You were really rude to that member for no reason.

While it is certainly possible, I think y’all need to realize how long Roe was on the chopping block and the precedent that it would set for the court if all the current court did was overturn previous rulings. Like… it would literally delegitimize the court entirely and destabilize he entire country.

The current Supreme Court is horrible and definitely conservative but I don't see them touching gay rights. Justice Thomas is by far the most conservative. I'm not sure if this new opinion says anything different from the leaked one but that one said explicitly gay rights won't be affected with this ruling. Obviously conservatives are trash but none of the justices besides Justice Thomas to my knowledge has said anything about overturning gay rights. It's different from Roe where it has literally been hated by conservatives for decades

Probably. Yes. They'll have community policing like they've done with the anti-abortion bills in TX. One of the pundits I follow made a good point: with Roe v. Wade defeated, Republicans will need to move further to the right to satisfy their insane base. They keep their base happy by ginning up their hatred and bigotry. With Roe v. Wade defeated, they have to find other pieces of red meat to make the Christian radicals of the country happy and so overturning gay sex, gay marriage, and contraceptions are an obvious set of next targets.

It just blows my mind that conservatives don't realize that, at some point, they too will suffer as a result of these rights being taken away :psyduck:

I ******* hate him so much :mazen: When is karma going to hit him finally?!

So first off before they can overturn/review these they have to first push a case that deals with them through the lower courts up to the Supreme Court?

Also if you honestly don’t believe there are conservative politicians looking at how to get gay marriage and the sodomy law ban overturned as we speak you are a fool.

If you believe the the 6 fucks that just over turned row v wade wont vote to over turn the other decisions you are just plain delusional. It’s as simple as them saying it’s really up to the states to decide, then they can claim it wasn’t from a religious stand point but more about how much power the fed gov should really have.
