SCOTUS has WAY too much power. That NEEDS to change. This is why EVERYONE must vote in the midterms. :dancehall:

As a woman, I can’t believe this has happened. My thoughts are with my American sisters in these dark times.

Vote yes. But we need to do more than vote. We need to boycott and make more organized outside efforts where we cancel business with any corporation donating to anti-gay, anti-trans, anti-abortion, etc. politicians because they want tax cuts. Money is king in America and we need to speak with our dollar. Vote yes, but it’s not enough.

As a woman I don’t know what to say, I accepted that this was coming a long time ago since it became obvious the Republicans were spending their time appointing very young, very conservative judges to every lower court in the country and the Democrats… were doing god knows what??? Of course there are also now other court cases that can be overturned that we also have to worry about.

I wish for the best but I don’t have much hope :biblio:

I’ve said it before. Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s rotten corpse is to blame for all of this. Maybe that loser Hillary Clinton shouldn’t have run for president either.

:bibliahh:Im sorry but in this dire situation you are literally still using that braindead “vote harder”. Your ******* party doesnt want to do anything to actually legislate! There’s a couple seats that can be won in the senate but that wont overcome the filibuster, because the unwillingness of the spineless Democrats. Honestly, head empty no thoughts

No matter how hard we vote this year, Democrats are smoked due to inflation and gas prices. Abortion isn’t a motivating factor, and even less people give a **** about gay rights.

Screeching at people to vote harder when the political reality is baked in isn’t actually helpful. Most people that vote are going to be voting for the opposition party because they’re mad at the Democrats for not fixing COVID with a magic wand.

Voting is the single most important thing everyone can do stop stop these sort of things. This, coupled with protesting is the only way to make your voice HEARD. Not voting is what causes these disastrous decisions. Too many people sat on the sidelines in 2016, and now we're all suffering the consequences. :michael:

Why do gays care about this?

The fact that conservatives truly believe that owning a gun is more important than a woman's right to choose. Absolutely insane.

A new constitution is needed.

Empathy. It’s this thing where you care about the well-being of other people.

We're headed into midterm elections where the incumbent party (Dems) are leading a sh*t economy and a deeply disliked president, Dems are getting cooked either way because Reps are mobilized, Independents will vote against Dems because of the bad economy and Dems are rightfully not motivated by a Party that has had the WH, the Senate and the House for two years and has managed to do nothing with it.

I'm imagining something like 250-270 house majority for Republicans and a 54-56 senate majority for Republicans.

Btw, I'm not fear mongering or anything, I'm just being realistic with every available polling data we have now. Roe or Obergefell won't change that because people mainly vote on material things, and the truth is economy is above else. People think Trump lost in 2020 because of COVID or something? Not really, he lost because of the economic side effects of covid, which drove independents away from the Reps, that's it.
