How is it gross to know that unprotected sex leads to pregnancy? That is basic biology. If you don't want to get pregnant, there are tons of ways to avoid it that DON'T involve killing

stop using common sense:mandown:

Congrats on another historic WIN for Biden :clap3:His administration does it again :clap3:

Most useless ******* president in modern American history. He is the sole reason why the red wave is coming, as well as for this decision as well. No plan to end the filibuster, zero push to codify Roe, and not one effort to pack the courts. All of which would have prevented this from affecting the poor/working class women who will now be forced to bring children into the world on the false pretense of "life" even though nobody in government gives a **** about a baby once it's even born. What a catastrophe for Democrats. But yes, instead of mobilizing against far-right extremists in government let's blame leftists! That'll really show them!

You do know that certain states are pushing for an end to contraceptions, and certain SCOTUS members are now reviewing to overturn the federal right to access contraceptives right? So when those "tons of ways" turn into no ways in some states, then what? Use that brain.

SCOTUS has WAY too much power. That NEEDS to change. This is why EVERYONE must vote in the midterms. :dancehall:

Vote yes. But we need to do more than vote. We need to boycott and make more organized outside efforts where we cancel business with any corporation donating to anti-gay, anti-trans, anti-abortion, etc. politicians because they want tax cuts. Money is king in America and we need to speak with our dollar. Vote yes, but it’s not enough.

Let alone that voting won't do anything if politicians refuse to do as the public wants. Biden is so ideologically opposed to expanding the court that he has reduced himself to a lame duck for the next 2 years while rights are taken away. Everyone who promised he would be pushed to the left and could be convinced of going along with expanding the court should be ashamed.

Common sense? More like purity culture nonsense.

You can do everything right and still end up pregnant. No one should be forced to carry it if they don’t want to.

And this is happening under a Democrat administration……**** them

Even when Dems win, Republicans still manage to gain bigger wins and get what they want.

And this isn't the impetus corporate dems think it is that will motivate voters to the polls in the midterms.

How can establishment dems even pretend to be upset about this when they were shilling for anti-choice Henry Cuellar a month ago?

And we basically knew this since the leak. Any more genius ideas, @hardbrit? women are now being forced to stock up on however many plan b pills they can get their hands on. Truly jarring.

Great news :clap3:

To all the incels saying "stop having sex" as their great argument, what if someone doesn't want a kid (or as you call them a "consequence")? Are you implying they should just never have sex? Get over yourselves, birth control isn't 100% effective.

Women may get r*ped, clinically speaking and in terms of litigation, miscarriages are abortions, meaning something you had absolutely no control over (r*pe, ectopic pregnancies, the fetus failing to develop properly, tripping and falling while pregnant, etc.) could land you in jail depending on where you live.

That's vile.

I'm not from the US and I would like to know the depths of this decision, so from my understanding women who have been raped (including children) CANNOT abort, women can't abort if the fetus has a multitude of defects that indicate that the child won't have a good lifestyle, women can't abort if the gestation presents a threat to their life (ectopic pregnancies)?

Of course this debate shouldn't even exist, it's a woman's body so therefore it's their choice, but I just want to know how far gone these religious zealots are from common sense

Time for California to go independent before they ban being gay

The outrage for this is going to subside unfortunately. It doesn’t have enough of a material impact on the masses. I wanna be wrong but seeing ppl say just vote is proof that there’s no willingness or desire from the population to organize to *actually* challenge power.

Good! Abortion is murder, the end of life. It's very comfortable to be ok with abortion from the "living" side.

It’s so ******* pathetic seeing gay men celebrating this. I hope you keep this same energy when they overturn gay marriage and sodomy laws, effectively making it illegal to be gay in America :bibliahh:

I've said the same thing. Once there's a nationwide ban on birth control/IUD's that might be a different story, but that's just on this topic.

Evey man and teen can have  a gun to mass kill whoever they want. But a women can't decide what to do with her body.... America can get worse everyday. Glad I don't live there.

is this true? :biblio:

Yeah I agree. Thing is, though, a federal ban would galvanize pro-choice women in blue states, which doesn’t really change the status quo that the Senate map favors Republicans, and that the House will be in constant flux due to national whims (such as the current ire over gas prices and inflation, while in 2018 it was angst over healthcare which isn’t even remotely talked about anymore).
