Exactly. Her last hit was Ruin My Life, which was the last single that had major support.

Then she received minimal support with Don't Worry Bout Me for some reason (and that song wasn't even a huge flop - #34 in the UK, #5 Spain, #7 Sweden, it just needed a bigger push to rise everywhere), and then they pulled the plug completely afterwards :deadbanana4: it was almost like a sabotage

She had a shot for another hit with WOW but the max she got was a remix with Sabrina Carpenter and that EMA performance. It was rising in the UK but Epic did nothing for it. A mess

She should start smashing in Europe again, she dropped the ball after releasing Ruin My Life

FFF is a bop

And make a song about #SwedenGate

Ruin My Life was a flop, which is why her label stopped investing in her

All The Time was a smash hit that got away, she did disco-pop ahead of its time, I fear

I wouldn't call it a flop, as it was her last major single that charted everywhere, but they certainly expected more and became an underperformance - which may explain why DWBM was so mistreated and then everything afterwards was non-existent. Still a mess how they gave up on her so quickly though :emofish:

If only they credited Marshmello as a main artist with her on WOW and gave more exposure to DWBM and ATT maybe things would look better now. She needs better management asap

Now I'm a Dua hater and even I couldn't agree with that :rip: Zara has too much personality to be putting out all this nothing'd music.

Love Me Land was a classic though.

her las album was great and her performances were top notch! she deserves it!

Right? She's probably the best all around pop performer of the streaming age, easy. I thought after the way her debut performed well that she would end the decades long drought of a Swedish pop act making it big internationally but then she disappeared for a bit and lost momentum. I'm still rooting for her though.

Girl, Lush Life was your peak, let's not.

She deserves to be one. She is literally THE complete package. Her music (sans a few major bops) just don’t hit the way it needs to :doc:

Good luck booking that stardom you speak of....

We need an Ava Max collab and a bunch of classics such as Dont Worry About Me :jonny5:

I remember last year at Manchester Pride she was the headliner of the Sunday night performances, but I’d say about a third of people left after Ella Henderson instead of waiting for Zara :gaycat6:

I’m afraid she already wasted her chance.

more dj collabs + tv performances would do it i think, she just needs to be seen
