NumbSoul Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 I hate to say it, but that was BAD I really thought Down Under would have a glow up, but this still feels bootleg as hell. The looks were honestly terrible. Yuri had the only good one and despite not being able to walk, she should've won. I'm so sad about Faux... She one was one of the most interesting characters, didn't deserve to be in the bottom 2, AND won that lipsync... I did like Spankie a lot, more than most of the cast, but I think she should've gone home. Honestly, there's a couple interesting characters, but for the most part, I'm not impressed so far. Hope that changes in the upcoming weeks. Hannah/Molly/Pomara are literally serving the same person and I hope they all go soon

That's why I was quite surprised people were saying this season is more diverse, cause I just don't see it. I can instantly smell Hannah being pushed all the way to the finale and I'm already annoyed

I'm happy to have Queen Kong, Minnie Cooper, and Yuri Guaii on the cast and feel like they bring a lot to the franchise, but the three you named are pretty much clones like you said and are unneeded on the same season.

Yeah, I get that. I think for me this season has more characters who stand out and provide real diversity, but there's also a lot of queen that blend together, more so than on S1. Hannah/Molly/Pomara are one group, but honestly I'm lokwey getting the same from Beverly/Aubrey for now too.

TrueBlood Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 It seems like there could be some sort of redemption from S1, I actually like the majority of the cast bar the queen that are already getting payola (the winner of this episode and this year's version of Baga Chips). Glad that the annoying Faux went home, but Yuri should have won this challenge, she was basically the only one to serve a more than decent look. Brooklyn is the hottie of the season, we stan. And Minnie Cooper looks and sounds like a legend already, probably my instant fave. Her name sounds popular and known to me (also her look actually), but I'm not sure if I'm just confused with the car association in her name, or if she's really a popular queen that I could have heard of.

The gross af pee-chardonnay skit, when they lost their minds and eliminated a girl for a pee joke last season. Production being self-aware enough to recognise their scripts are trash. Spankie winning with that outfit. Minnie being so dyslexic, she can't read the room. Just... mess.

It was painful enough watching her win house of drag And I swear she had panties showing again this week but they totally ignored it? The challenge was a total disaster to the point where I actually thought Spankie was a bottom queen so I was shook when they started acclaiming her. The urine thing was so crude and it was an instant bottom-2 last season so I found it bizarre they were laughing so much at it this time. Michelle looks so done with the show already and why does all the camerawork continue to make it look like Ru isn't there and is greenscreened in? The Minnie drama looks completely staged and she clearly has a contract that if she causes drama they'll let her reach the top X. They better keep Kong around she's one of the few interesting queens in this cast. The fact that there are 3 Australian queens that I still can't tell apart because they all do the same kind of campy drag Also kinda sad at the elimination this week. Thought she deserved a few more weeks to prove herself and the lip-sync was solid too.

However, Minnie deserved to win for having the best of both. Happy Kween stayed but her lipsync had zero connection to I Touch Myself (though would have been great with almost any other song). Aubrey's made more sense with I Touch Myself. The iconic Lucy Lawless Glad Yuri wasn't bottom 2, her runway was incredible

Episode 1 was wild with Molly winning over Yuri, the only one who constructed an actual outfit and Faux lip syncing when her look was totally fine. Spankie should've gone because she was clearly the worst and after watching episode 2 it looks like she's getting the Elektra edit and I'm not here for it. Episode 2 also had terrible judging all around. I'd given the win to Minnie or Hannah (or both, actually) because they did the absolute best in the challenge and also had beautiful runways. Hannah's in particular was exquisite, I didn't expect her to pull off something like that. Spankie was a distant third, especially considering that tragic runway. I mean, she got compliments for putting on thighs, but what about the halloween store wings? I think a couple of the safe queens would actually end up in the bottom, so imagine my surprise when they were off the hook. I don't think Aubrey should've lip synced. You can tell she lacks experience, but the b*tch always looks correct and apparently has some talent too. I was sad she got eliminated, I wanted to see more of her. I don't know what they see in Molly and Pomara to keep them around. You could tell me they're the same person and I'd believe it. Their drag is giving very middle of the road and they're not standing out in any way for me. Minnie on the other hand is a f*cking legend and my pick to win this season, the way she commands the room and is very polite despite not shying away from confrontation is fierce and so refreshing. The transformation she has when she gets in drag is jaw dropping and her mug kinda gives Art Simone's mother or something. And continuing with the similarities, I'm convinced Aubrey is Willam's smaller sister. They literally look like the same person. Also, what the f*ck is wrong with Down Under lighting? It's so bad!

I like Kween but she's so in her head and she's stuck in her professionalism mindset. I think once she lets go, she will be a force to be reckoned with. But right now, I am not sure who I want to win this season. Maybe Yuri or Molly.
