I don't believe there's been any evidence of any of the Kiwi girls being racist, and I know etc personally and she is one of the loudest supporters for the Queer BIPOC community here in Sydney.

This leg of the franchise terrifies me, like a crash I can’t look away from. How have Ivy League & Prada Clutch not been cast? We have great queens, I swear.

Hope they make for a good season To be fair, the standards for the Down Under franchise are very low, but maybe this could be their strongest season yet!

Poor Amyl, would have liked to have seen more from her. Neither queen really killed it that much in the lipsync either. And surely Ashley Madison is not the first queen to have multiple nipslips in one episode so I'm surprised the judges were that distracted.

Aside from Flor, the NZ queens really feel like a filler this time around. 1

The production on DU still feels super cheap and the cast is not really giving it to me so far Half of them seem half-baked, the other half seem annoying/unlikable. I will say though, the results were pretty spot on. The correct winner and tops, as well as bottom 3. I could've seen Ashley Madison in the bottom 2 though, cause idk what "star power" they were feeling. Her runway also made no sense, while the other two girls (especially Ivory) had much better ones, but at the same time, Ivory and Amyl did completely bomb the challenge, so it made sense. Shame about Amyl, she seemed sweet and polished, but I think her elimination made sense. Interested to see what Ivory will bring. Not even sure who to root for so far... Flor and Hollywould obviously did the best, but I didn't find them likable. I think I'm most drawn to Isis and Ivanna. Also looking forward to more Ivory and Gabriella.

Overall though this group feels a little underwhelming. Is the DU drag scene as a whole like this? Or are they just choosing cheap queens? Spoiler I don’t know that I see her going very far but Ashley’s boy persona is doing it for me.
publikcitizen Posted July 28, 2023 Author Posted July 28, 2023 Spoiler It's rumored that this is the last season under contract with WBNZ and Season 4 could possibly be filmed in Australia on a bigger soundstage and moved to P+ but it's also possible they can stay in New Zealand but have a new contract for a bigger soundstage and stream on P+. Regardless, we will probably see big changes next season based on what I hear. Regarding the future of the show... 2
