It needs actual playlisting reach. Where's the TTH? Elley Duhe's song is on there yet it's never even entered the Hot 100. Others have literal multi-year residencies on there, etc

Sounds like a rather hilariously passive aggressive image to repost on Instagram when the vast majority of the last 4 years of singles fall under the banner of this. No culture, love or substance in so many of them.

Ellie's in a weird place with her label I think. During BB era she was shading them and promoting those horrible singles in the same breath. 

 

I hope after this album she goes back to her roots, forgets commercial succes, and tries to rebuild the fanbase she lost somewhere during Delerium. It's no coincidence Lights is the song that keeps going viral: it's where she sounded completely unique.

I’ve been asking her for weeks and I think that a Sam Ryder collab is finally coming

I think she and her team should move to a next one. this song isn't going anywhere, literally over a month and it couldn't cross a 10million mark on Spotify. truly disappointing for any artist at her level nowadays. she should've released tainted memories instead imo.

Why is all the artwork so far so...disturbing? None of the imagery even fits the basic bops she's releasing. Imagine how much more interesting the music would've been if it actually took cues from the artwork!

She should have released a more dark pop music.

i never understood this for ellie in particular. she is a very talented writer and great singer too and intelligent. she can do great pop and great indie music. but she puts out songs like this and acts like it's her choice not the label's. for other artists i can usually pinpoint the issue - label meddling, artist lacking direction or good management, etc. but with ellie it's very unclear to me

It’s almost as if she was talking bullshit then and they’re trying to get as much blood out of the stone with as many releases as possibly despite no-one really wanting to listen to it, despite being currently the 101st most popular Spotify artist. Bizarre.

Her saying it didn't feel quite right, was her talking about the sound of the song and the way it was produced (since it has had different versions the pas 6 years). This has nothing to do with a feature/solo. She always releases the solo versions lol
