Maybe the one who should stop making a fool out of yourself is you. It was not me who brought Foxes and MUNA to the table. I’m just saying MUNA is by far more acclaimed than Ellie, which is a fact. But I guess you haven’t even heard anything from them to say that none of their albums come close to a dated album as Delirium. Can you stop?
davorincek Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 I cant wait for this. I can hear this being blasted on radio here in Slovenia. They love Ellie. Cant wait to have this spammed everywhere. It sounds like a holy bop

Haze Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 The truth is that both Lights and Halcyon sounded like nothing else out there, and they came before the poptimism of critics. While Lights is my favourite, and Ellie's lyrical peak, the influence of Halcyon can't be denied IMO. Delirium is fun and has plenty of bops, but it was slightly derivative. Some songs still shine because of her voice or turn of phrase. I love BB (sans the horrid second part) but it's clear she has turned from folkpop melodies to RnB-inspired tracks, and she's lost what makes her unique in the process. Still excited for EG5 though! Her melodies and adlibs always shine.

I love Muna and Foxes ? but Ellie is leagues above them and that’s the truth, the only reason BB is 74 is because some bitter reviewer on Slant Magazine gave it a 0 out of a 100 only bc she included hate me and close to me on the album and completely ignored the rest of the tracks, get your facts correct before making a fool out of yourself, pop singers hardly ever get bad scores nowadays thanks to “pop positive” movement and everyone knows that, there’s no way in hell you or anyone thinks that halcyon got the score it deserved.

Yeah I know it wasn’t you but you have been dragging and saying negative things about Ellie non-stop for at least two pages now on a thread about ELLIE, what did you expect from her fans? To not say anything? You could’ve just ignored that user instead of dragging Ellie just to defend Muna/Foxes. Edited July 6, 2022 by iammadmat .
ATRL Moderator khalyan Posted July 6, 2022 ATRL Moderator Posted July 6, 2022 Not my off hand comment about wanting Ellie's new release to have some edge to it unlike MUNA & Foxes still being discussed pages later
ATRL Moderator khalyan Posted July 6, 2022 ATRL Moderator Posted July 6, 2022 Bright Lights > Lights > Delirium > Halcyon > Brightest Blue > Halcyon Days > EG.O Y'all think anything dark sounding is automatically fantastic which is why Halcyon is always overrated. It's not a bad release by any means, but also not really close to her best.
Tyrion_LMG Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Brightest Blue is my favourite album of her. Halcyon Days comes close.
ughgabriel Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 anything dark sounding is automatically fantastic which is why Halcyon is her best album!
CameraFlashes Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 lol I feel so sorry for those who praised Delirium but dragged Halcyon (Days)

BlackJesus Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Halcyon>BB>Halcyon Days=Delirium>Lights Don't @ me for having lights last, it's a fantastic album.
Uncatena Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Halcyon > Delirium > Lights > (Bright Lights) > (EG.0) > Brightest Blue >>> (Halcyon Days)

Tyrion_LMG Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Do we know if she has worked with Max Martin again for this record? If she’s really delivering a great dance pop album this time she should hire him.
