Mike91
Makes Adele's first week numbers that much more impressive. edit: Though honestly, this number is not THAT bad for a surprise release that had zero hype. Edited June 18 by Mike91

Katamari
i think the decline is more with the industry in 2022 than artist based seeing how this is enough for number one plus its divisive release too. i mean can yalls favs divisive releases even crossed 100k in its first week

Something of these things y’all are coming up with are just I'm no Drake fan, so I have no reason to defend him or make excuses. Point is, at the end of the day over 200k is a great number (these days). No one was expecting a new album from him and, quite frankly, I don't think anyone was really wanting a new album from him right now anyways. They're not great numbers but they're also not terrible. Honestly, I just think the days of larger than life popstars are over. The only ones who are still somewhat at that level got popular pre-streaming era (the verdict is out on Olivia). If you aren't genuinely interested in someone's music, it's easier than ever to avoid it.
Cruel Summer
Yeah, this is a surprise to me, but I get it with how things have been going lately. The only people clearing 500k are Taylor, Adele, and Harry, I guess Drake was the other remaining holdout in that league, but I guess reception to this album was just that mixed. chaneloberlin
Omg the streaming debut was fine to me so these numbers are even scary for the rest of the music industry Sad to see the GP definitely shipped this back but I gurss not everyone can serve BEYONCÉ (2013) it seems.
