Gorjesspazze9 Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 (edited) The MCU adds another New original series in Wonder Man. Directed by Shang-Chi Director. The series is officially in early development. Wonder Man is the villain turn Avenger, with impenetrable Skin and Ionic Energy powers. He is basically Marvel’s Wonder Women. With a complex origin connected to the scarlet witch & Vision, Antman, Captain Marvel, Kang and Tony stark. It’s unknown what origin will be adapted for his Show, but it’s clear it will play a major part in the climax of Phase 4. do you all feel Marvel is producing too many shows and movies for the back half of Phase 4? Will they be able to keep the Quality that Wandavision set? Will Marvel just give us X-Men? Discuss. Edited June 16, 2022 by Gorjesspazze9
Jotham Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 While I'm happy that Wonder Man is finally making it to the MCU, we are getting way too many TV shows. They need to pace things out.
Kings. Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 (edited) No, they’re not overproducing anything because as you put in the OP, this is in early development and by the time it comes it’ll be the next phase And at this point it’s silly to even question Marvel and the direction they’re going. Let them get their shows off and build up lower tier characters for this medium. They’ve also only released 5 series so far and all have been spaced out and are well received by both critics and the GP. Relax with the complaints of them dropping “too much” Edited June 16, 2022 by Kings.
Rachel Berry Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 I’ve been dying for Wonder Man to finally appear in the MCU since James Gunn first revealed his scrapped easter egg cameo in GOTG 2. I have faith that Cretton and Andrew Guest will do a good job adapting Simon to the MCU and (hopefully) won’t be anything like the messy third act of Shang-Chi. Spoiler I’m curious to see how they’ll retcon his relationship with Wanda and Vision. Especially the former since she winds up in a relationship with him after Vis.

This is just a discussion point?chill
Gorjesspazze9 Posted June 16, 2022 Author Posted June 16, 2022 (edited) Wonder Man will be a Comedy/Satire of Hollywood tropes in the MCU. Similar to Wandavision, but for films and theatrics. Wonder Man will be a movie star, with real superpowers. The star is rumored to still be Nathan fillion. But casting is not confirmed yet. Rumor to set up the West Coast Avengers Edited June 16, 2022 by Gorjesspazze9

Anyway, Nathan Fillion is too old IMO. Maybe get someone like Zac Efron, Parker Young or newcomer in their early to mid 30s to play Wonder Man

Lovett Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 Quote ‘Wonder Man’: Yahya Abdul-Mateen II Tapped To Lead Marvel Series For Disney+ EXCLUSIVE: Coming off of some of the best reviews of his career for his work in Broadway’s revival of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Suzan Lori Parks play Topdog/Underdog, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is preparing to move over from DC to Marvel as the lead for the studio’s Disney+ series Wonder Man. Created by writer Stan Lee and artists Don Heck and Jack Kirby, Wonder Man was first introduced to Marvel Comics in 1964 via The Avengers #9. The character otherwise known as Simon Williams is the son of the industrialist Sanford Williams and assumes control of his munitions outfit following his passing, seeing its successes limited when it comes into competition with Tony Stark’s Stark Industries. The younger Williams gains ion-based superpowers, including super strength, while working under the villainous Baron Zemo and establishing himself as an antagonist to The Avengers, though he later decides to become part of that same superhero team. https://deadline.com/2022/10/wonder-man-yahya-abdul-mateen-ii-to-lead-marvel-series-for-disney-plus-1235159111/
Gorjesspazze9 Posted October 31, 2022 Author Posted October 31, 2022 (edited) The first of 3 Spin-off’s to Wandavision. Elizabeth Olsen’s Next Love interest will be a Black Lead Vision Lost. Abdul-Mateen is best known in the superhero sphere for his work on HBO’s Watchmen, having won his first Emmy in 2020. X~MoviePoP Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 He is HUNG. The watchmen full frontal had me weak
Blood Magic Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 We won but are we sure it's a WandaVision spin-off? Agatha and Vision Quest definitely are but this, I'm not sure. PS: "Casted" isn't a word. It's "cast".

Wonderman script writer just said it’s similar to it by being a satire of Hollywood films instead of sitcoms. And Vision is apart of Wonderman. It’s apart of the trio

Arcadius Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 So he's gonna be in Marvel and DC at the same time?

The characters have a history in the comics but that's it.
JBJT2786 Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 Im surprised he took it. He's been rumored for weeks. It's also not a Wandavision spinoff. It's a satire because Wonderman is a satire of Superman in the comics. Tell me you don't know about comics without telling me you don't know about comics challenge.
Jotham Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 I can't wait to finally have Wonder Man in the MCU
Oxy Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 Pleaaaaaaas! Be good. I want it to be on the level of WV & Loki. The rest were unfinished and rushed projects.
