MrPiggyMoka Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Virgo almost makes me cumm every time i listen to it
swissman Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 i mean i agree in this moment getting people into theatres will be more difficult (though I don't think America has that issue?) but under the right circumstances it would be iconic to have her film in theatres. Her Purple Rain.
swissman Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 It's the fact that ALL her non-Matthew albums ARE EXCELLENT!!!! but to his credit the two that he was more involved with are also her commercial giants...but still, THE ARTISTRY when she's at the helm is so, so brilliant and I am so glad she feels she can just do as she pleases without trying to fit herself into trends and get hits for relevance. This era, though there is a hit, has really proven HIT OR NOT, she doesn't seem to care...EVEN IF it has a wide release.

I tried listening to something else and you can truly see the large margin of quality from Renaissance to others. It's been too long since we've had a high-quality cohesive album like this. A lot of mainstream A+ musicians that have released this year so far and last year disappointed me, but this one right here... whew. This is art. There’s definitely a pre and post Renaissance for me.

Maybe I'm not understanding just how much 500K is, but I know a lot of fans of the album who are obsessed with it but haven't bought it. Buying an album is a lot different than seeing a movie, because one is a product you don't need anymore and the other is an experience you can't get at home. 500K is 0.15% of the American population. Again, maybe I am just not understanding how much an average movie pulls in, but a movie is far more casual. You don't need to be a FAN to go, your friends suggest it and you all head to the theatres. I've seen tons of movies in theatres I've not really wanted to see just becuase someone I know wanted to go. And this being a one-of-a-kind event and Beyoncé having established herself as a strong visual artist, I think there would be a lot of curiousity and interest to go see it. Honestly, just look at the number of people that watched the Lemonade special, Homecoming live stream, BIK, or the Homecoming Netflix Special and ask how many people would pay $10 to watch the exact same thing once.
sillycilla Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 This guy may be on to something. What is coming after Bey? Let us know!!! https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRUSM1AM/?k=1
Rotunda Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 (edited) No shade, but some of these Renaissance theories on TikTok/Twitter be saying nothing but “I bet something is coming next.” We know . Like folks have been talking about the time periods around the Renaissance era since we got the album title. Edited August 4, 2022 by Rotunda

To think I was going so long without a high-quality album like Renaissance. It makes you wonder how long Bey has been sitting on this masterpiece. And this is only act i
FLAallday Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Adding POTS for SOTY and TRADITIONAL R&B PERFORMANCE to my bingo card.

Automatic Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Listening to A Gift From Virgo (DIL era) & then listening to Virgo's Groove right after is an experience, like wow. Her growth as an artist is INSANE.
Lose My Breath Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 I wonder if she'll space all of the acts over different grammy periods.

VG gives me more R&B Song winner teas. AHAP for Melodic Rap Performance fits into my fantasy as well. And in my ultimate fantasy, AS will go on to become the biggest smash record since WAP and will win ROTY. However, I am fully certain they will submit and be nominated for BMS and AS will walk away with more categorized win like Dance/Electronic.
Rider Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 BMS is still top 2 of the album, a classic and a LEAD single You WONT break my soul
