I never thought she'd surpass Self-Titled but Renaissance is basically built off of the sexy, experimental tracks on that album, and tossed into a dark-lit gay club past midnight. I hope she gets a 90+ on Metacritic for this, because she won me back... It's her best work to me, and definitely an AOTY contender.

The production is so experimental and crazy all over the album but a lot of these feel like they’re still in her wheelhouse. She’s done disco/funk throwback, the vogue stuff was expected even though it’s a serve and of course the beautiful vocals on the softer songs. However I never ever expected this sort of hyperpop lite pop banger from Beyoncé
