If you want to give credit to someone other than B, maybe Dave Rosser or Nick Green or Syd. Who wrote it was also not the point of that post btw. It was a comparison of "depthness" ironically. OT : I hope we get something else. A teaser for the visuals would have come if it was a visual album no!? I am starting to think it's not a visual album and I don't mind.
storminthedark Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 The alternate cover should've been the main one but the packaging for the vinyl looks stunning

Mr. Specialist Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 Let me go ahead and pre-order another copy of the vinyl.

Thinking Of You Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 The cover of her laying down on the horse should’ve been the official cover

It said so for a moment on their webpage before they deleted it (which makes it even more true). They said Renaissance is a 3-act album where Bey is reclaiming Black genres. Thats why its safe to assume its gonna be: Act 1: House Act 2: Country Act 3: Rock
Crayzik Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 (edited) Finally some great news about this already iconic era I'm so excited about the productions by A G Cook, Hit-Boy and Skillex+The Neptunes - Plus so glad that Guiltybeatz made it and can't wait for the Tems & Grace Jones track. We almost made it Edited July 22, 2022 by Crayzik

Sorry my fault I always listen to the James Blake version where he's credited for changing some parts anyways I don't think bey stans should defend her writing credits at all tho, just my opinion anyways. I still like her music tho, I'm not saying this as a hater

I still like her music tho, I'm not saying this as a hater She has valid writing credits just like James has valid writing credits for switching up Otherside a little bit exactly as you mentioned. I don't think anyone in the Hive believes she's a master lyricist, but she is heavily involved in her music. If random producers who added a snare or two can get a credit on her song, she deserves one too.

I just believe that the credit system should be updated to identify who has the bigger influence while writing a song. Producers shouldn't be allowed full credits when just adding snares as you mention. But thats another discussion for another thread

EarStyle Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 The writing conversation is so draining. Anyone can write a song, but can you DELIVER it. Can you make it what it is. Look at all of the failed songwriters that release music and adds nothing to it. Also, I value other songwriters contributing to artists. it gives range. It gives evolution.
