She got to where she is just for being white and having connections. She is right though but just not the right messenger.

I didn’t expect Aniston’s wig to be tossed around like this in here :deadbanana:

I'm also tired of seeing talentless content creators everywhere but the entertainment industry has changed and there's no way back so bitching about it won't do anything

same thoughts. so it's either you adapt or get left behind.

Idk how I feel about this though. Like yes there are people that get elevated to fame through these platforms without doing much of anything, but it's always been that way? That said it's really cool that individuals that DO have talent can be discovered from all over the world that may not have been seen prior to the exposure social media can give. Especially those without the money to do so and POC.

I don't see her point. Yeah TikTok influencers are pointless but all they do is sell makeup and create drama, they don't take acting or singing jobs from anyone (we all saw how Addison Rae's singing "career" went), so what is the issue?

Tik tok has in fact devaluated fame.

I mean some people get 100ks of followers for saying stupid **** at the camera

I do think that a lot of tik tok influencers will disappear once the next big thing comes on tho.

In another note, Aniston is not the best example of what a “talented” actor is. She is an icon but she was just lucky honestly to be placed there.

This, and the Aniston v. Jolie mess needs to die already.

She’s the one to talk considering her entire career is playing every reiteration of that one hit TV show she had lmao

OT: But she did not lie

Love her but this is coming you would hear from her generation.

An actor's job isn't to be famous, its to act. But yeah, I can see why she's so shallow given that she can't act, so she thinks that her job is being famous.

Watch her getting into NFTs by the end of the year. I will drag you! :nicole2:

HRH Collection will get an Oscar nom before her

Aren't these supposed "tiktok celebrities" the same thing as reality stars we used to have in the early 2000s that people would attack for the same reasons? (i.e. being talentless, famous for no reason, etc.) I don't see Addison Rae and the D'amelios taking serious acting jobs, having long-lasting music careers, or being taken seriously outside of tiktok/social media (no tea no shade). Idk I feel like there's always gonna be this sub-category of celebrities and attacking new forms of media/consumption just for existing only makes you sound old and bitter.

This isn't any different from nepotism taking away jobs from talented actors and that used to happen quite a lot during her times so I'd call it even :michael:

Also, why is she complaining? I doubt she regrets the big check she gets for her show which is only available in Apple TV aka an streaming service.

So she's complaining because average people gain fame by organic traction instead of being born in the industry with connections like her?

Yes, I fear

Isn’t the industry always been like that? There’s always a gimmick like back the day they had contests, or being on a reality show, and now it’s just being a tiktoker or YouTuber. It’s not like the industry was the same until these generation, it’s constantly changing. I’m sure people back then thought it was weird that she’s known more for her personal life and her haircut than her films and talents.

These elite Hollywood are mad that they can’t gate keep fame anymore?

…..she was known for being a star on one of the most popular TV shows, ever :rip: I doubt anyone in Hollywood thought it was “weird” that she was popular. Jesus this site hates woman who are a “threat” to their “queens” while calling so many people “sexist misogynistic Pigs” not realizing how they sound when they say “she’s just famous for her personal life and haircut!”

It's easier to get famous now. Why are people crying?

And what's her job? She was in one popular show decades ago and now she uses the platform she has to support wife beaters and make fun of people dying of covid. She can rot.

Wait, what ? :soda:

Isn't she only still relevant because Friends had a resurgence when it was added to a streaming platform?
