And yet the Anistans have been clinging to a streaming show, a streaming movie, and Instagram receipts these past couple of years.

btw, you’re extremely weird if you’re still hung up on Jolie vs Aniston. That was a misogynistic tabloid narrative that was spun to literally hate on successful women and still playing into that in 2022 is quite frankly worrisome x

But James Charles or those Paul brothers are stealing jobs from actor tho? Which is her point.

like social media, YouTube give a platform and opportunities to a lot of POC which they would never get in Hollywood unless they are white and someone’s child.

Isn't Charli's dad basically a notable CEO of Tiktok corporation though :rip:

I think she meant that people can pretty much be famous for ..... ANYTHING now. Which is fair enough of course BUT it is devaluing actors . Hence making the influencer more important that the average actor that actually is famous for putting in work.

I think all of our favs were literally hustling , toured malls , begged to be signed to some record label. And suffered years before their breakout. Now whilst they're icons . Having them put as the same category as some random girl making some weird waving gestures is just wrong. Any random influencer can easily get a record deal now.  Them slowly becoming part of Hollywood is wrong in my opinion.

The line could be drawn at the kardashian family.

being famous for nothing is a thing since old age. It’s not something that the kardasian introduced. Like in the 80s/90s they were billboard girls, socialite etc.

And talented people get ignored all the time, in favor of less talented ones that are  marketable. Also there’s no reason to gate keep who’s get to be in Hollywood. LOL

Says the Addison Rae of the Boomer Generation/Generation X :ahh: she is jealous that Jolie has captured the TikTok and Instagram generation with her talent  and beauty and philanthropy.

even if that were true what have they done to contribute to society?

jen’s haircut “the Rachel” took the 90s by storm and still used today

this isn’t showing her age. It’s showing y’all have no clue what it takes to be on a tv show for an entire decade with such replay value. it’s not only viral tiktokers who don’t have any business on a set, it’s a lot of “music” acts who don’t have business on a stage either. We’re all thinking it she only said it.

She’s known as the friends lady, so maybe she should sit this one out — no payola’s Emmy will change that tragically awful show

She's absolutely right . And all the haters in this thread can choke.

There was an organic process in becoming a prominent figure. Now it isn't about talent. And those people are idolized.

but at the same time there's so much talent that HAS been snatched up

because of the way things are now so.. she still sounds salty.

So she's complaining because average people gain fame by organic traction instead of being born in the industry with connections like her?

this.

She needs to get off her high horse a lot of these B and C list actors from the 2000s have the same amount of talent as influencers.

her only two hits in the past decade (murder mystery and the morning show) were from streaming services...and why is she acting like the only reason she has a career isn't because she's pretty

i'm gagging at you thinking a hairstyle is a valuable or relevant contribution to society. charli d'amelio made everyone do the renegade or savage dance or whatever for 2 years, literally the same level of contribution to society

Considering she's getting paid 2 mil an episode from a streaming service :rip:

Not the backlash she's getting to this being how I learn she's a nepotism baby. :skull:

Hollywood really is so incestuous and everyone the product of someone already famous.
