Musicals and production are just like companies, they go through rounds of funding where they ask people to invest.

not everyone will invest in this musical, but Jennifer saw something unique in it and decided to support it. Which means that could use her name to promote it in advertising.

She wrote a check and won a Tony.

Her Grammy is from a cast album that she wasn’t the lead in.

:gaycat5:

She's got two GRAMMY.

Certain users trying to discredit a black woman is so disgusting but then again are we surprised? Earning the highest status in entertainment and yet still trying to dim her light. Go to hell

OT: Congratulations to this legend! Well deserved :clap3:

And they're all from certain white girl's base. :toofunny2:

Wait, Not JHUD’s Tony shared with 40 people :deadbanana: And people get mad over songs credited between 2 artists :rip:

Her Oscar and Grammys are legit.

But that daytime Emmy is a bit random, and a producer Tony is not that big consider she shares it with like 5 other people.

Anyway with her talent i think she can snatch an acting Tony/ Emmy in the future. She has been nominated for an acting Tony before so its not a far stretch.

It does seem kind of underwhelming for JHUD’s Tony to be shared among 40 people, but to be fair, taking a look at the EGOT winners, they all seem to have some underwhelming wins.

The composers only win for composing, and the actors never win Grammys for anything music related - it’s only for best spoken word or best comedy :lmao:

At least, JHUD actually won a Grammy for what it’s most meant for - music and an Oscar for what it’s most meant for - acting and that’s something no one else on the EGOT list has done :clap3:

Her O is quite impressive as it’s an actual acting award, and not some best original song

Certain fanbase is mad because their fave with panned acting career will never achieve half of what Legend JHud has achieved.

Well, moreso than a musician winning an Oscar for writing a song.

Y'all so ******* pathetic :skull: be happy instead of looking for ways to discredit

nothings gonna change the fact that she's now an EGOT winner eitherway.

Everyone got in every hot take when this news came out in April. :rip: The rules are as long as you sign on as a producer before it officially opens, you’re eligible to receive a Tony.  It could be weeks into previews, as long as you make it before opening night you’re good.

Only 4 of 23 Oscar categories are for acting :skull: They’re a film industry award, not just for acting (so maybe you’ll just want to stick to SAG). I guess Best Director winners at the Oscars didn’t win anything impressive either then.

Directing would be impressive too actually if she had won an Oscar for that. But I think you get the gist of my point, that JHUD’s Oscar win as an actress seems more impressive since it’s based solely on her accomplishments in the acting/film realm

Thats why triple crown acting (win competitive acting Tony/Oscar/Emmy) is a bigger achievement for an actor/actress.

If you singer/actor then a competitive Grammy and and an acting Oscar like JHud also big achievement.

why are gag fans mad now :deadbanana4:

That’s true about the Triple Crown & yeah, JHUD is in rare company with her competitive Grammy and acting Oscar as a singer/actor.
