No, it does not correspond to OCC numbers. See above.

BPI certifications only account for milestones. A song which has shifted 600k units vs 1 million units is given the same certification, until the next threshold is reached.

The Official Charts Company had Taylor at 32 million single units as of Nov 2021 which are not the same as "certified" units.

In order to have the 31.4m units sold claimed in the OP she'd have to have 65 songs at 199,999 units each, this plus the 40 she already has certified... there is literally no mathematical way this is possible.

In fact, she wouldn't have. You're forgetting that all certified songs sold more than that. Shake It Off for example sold 2.2M, but since it's not eligible to 4x platinum yet, you counted as 1.8M. That's 400k units missing from one song only.

Y'all are wrong. Official Charts already confirmed Taylor has sold 32 million singles.

The OP is literally 6M off for 1D :rip: and these are OCC numbers updated less than two years ago, there's literally no way they sold 6M in that little time when they'd sold 12M in 10 years up to that point. The OP is also wrong about Rihanna. And if the difference is what y'all claim then Ed has to be at almost 100M because certifications alone that man has 55M+

IDK about this tweet, Taylor might be close to that number but the OP's numbers are way off in A LOT of cases

Dua Lipa is CERTIFIED for 18.8M yet in the OP she shows up with 18.8M total, have her singles not sold a single unit more than what they're certified for? Ed is certified for 55M, so there's literally no way he's at *only* 68M. Taylor might be accurate (it's actually off, lower, considering OCC had it at 32M 6+ months ago). 1D is off by 6M. Rihanna is off by A LOT. Drake is off as well. The OP is a mess.

:rip: and it wouldn't make sense for OCC to not count features here, they included Rihanna's features in her 'Official Top 40 biggest selling singles' list published in 2017: https://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/rihanna-s-official-top-40-biggest-selling-singles__10975/

The OCC said Rihanna's all time UK singles sales were at 36.9M as of April 2018 (more than her current total in OP). The MTV list is without a doubt *partially* wrong.

They're also counting Taylor's features, IDWLF, Everything Has Changed, and End Game are all certified and account for about 2M units.
