Toxic masculinity, masculine culture, obsession with violence and guns, lack of self acceptance, etc. It's not enough to say "mental health" because being mentally unwell does not equate to shooting people. There are cultural and systemic issues that lead to violence as the output. Women and gays have been warning society about this for decades because it keeps getting worse, and little to nothing is ever done about it. The least the government can do is severely restrict access to firearms and ban the sale of AKs and other weapons popular in mass shootings.
