Katy: "People love to argue in politics but we need to help the environment first"

i dont like this "we need to do this or that first" mentality cause while you wanna move the attention from one problem to another, millions of lives are being lost to "political" matters

while you may worry that 20 years from now people won't have a planet, people right now don't have a tomorrow cause of politics

Sure, that's easy to say when you live in a nice mansion not having to worry about all the other **** that's been going on for two years now, Katy. :allears:

Cars are so unnecessary and toxic for the environment anyway, there needs to be a huge public transportation system for everyone.

Yikes, that's so ignorant. If you're lucky to live in a big city with good public transport, sure. But some people depend on their cars, because neither can they afford an environmentally-friendly Tesla, nor the rent in the city they have to go to work to.

Serving Oprah "I haven't left my huge $100+mil home that I'm being served in 24/7 for a year due to COVID". Sorry.

It’s true though, even if not worded in the best way. The environment has to be a top priority because the future is either green or there won’t be a future.

Thats why I said we need a good public  transportation system for EVERYONE, not just in the biggest cities as it is the case in many countries.

Yeah, the world's going to ****, we been known. But as pointed out earlier, there are wars, starvation, an on-going pandemic, financial crisis, people working their asses off with multiple jobs, having no security and still not being able to make both ends meet and being able to feed their families at the end of the month. So some people have more "urgent" topics to deal with, because otherwise they won't even be alive by the time climate change becomes an even bigger issue.

That's (unfortunately) just as utopian as saying "end the world's hunger!". how do you imagine implementing a solid public transport infrastructure even in smaller cities to the point that individual transportation would become obsolete?

You know what? She made points. Let me revoke my OKH card real quick

This really should be recognized as top priority. The thing is… pandemics, food insecurity, energy and gas prices, etc, are all deeply intertwined with climate change. All of these issues -  social, financial, public health, environmental - seem to share common systemic themes and sources. But unlike the others, climate change is not temporary, so it seems like the critical thing to focus on.

Doesn't she have a mansion, maybe even several? So technically she leaves a bigger carbon footprint than most people do, so it's ironic that she'd be advocating environmental awareness. :deadbanana2:

Is math related to the environment? Maybe we can fix it with math.

Bless her big beautiful brain but she needs to stick to pop music (preferably written by a professional songwriter).

The way we may be the only sentient, intelligent beings in the entire galaxy, possibly the entire universe, and we’re going out because people on the planet care more about money than taking care of the planet that gave us the near-impossible chance of being alive right now.

She's a joke kinda

But.... it's literally the politicians that choose laws that define whether the environment is going to continue getting destroyed by corporations?

she needs to stay out of politics. she really is a moron and this is coming from someone who's been a stan since 2008

She's clearly just another person raised in poverty who abandoned her own people as soon as she got a glimpse of wealth. It's sad, but it's clear that her priority is her own finances.

What does this even mean? :ace: Specifically how does the Caruso endorsement actually square with this position she professes?

How is she gonna fix the environment without politics. She's also not doing anything to fix the environment herself.

This. Does she think gazillionaires will suddenly start caring about the environment if you appeal to their conscience?
