ZIVERT Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 Solar Power was still the serve and idc what anyone says. Do you LORDe, I will be here to gobble up whatever you serve us
LittleFreak Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 I couldn't get into Solar Power, so I'm looking forward to this.
AndresVanDeKamp Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 No like I’ve listened to Solar Power probably 50 times and it still hasn’t aged a day for me. Listened the other day while I went on a hike in the sunny weather and it truly felt like a transcendental experience! Sorry to the losers who sit inside and look at their computer screens all day who can’t comprehend the vibe of the album! Sad! But seriously, SP is her most consistent work and it makes sense with her career trajectory. She makes music specific to a particular time in one’s life. Pure Heroine only hits to people who grew up when it came out when they were in 11th or 12th grade ready to graduate and going into the adult world. It really captures that emotion and all that comes with it. Melodrama hits because you were going through your first breakup in college or whatever. She made that for the girls doing m*lly at frat parties and she knew what she was doing. Solar Power is for the mid-twenty-somethings who are disillusioned and not sure where to go in life but also reeling from the idea of climate change and the inevitable downfall of modern society but also we’re just trying to smoke weed and hang with our friends. She’s just been giving particular young adult experiences and if you get it you get it! Sorry if Solar Power didn’t work for you, but it’s not a bad album, it’s actually her best. Debate your mother.

Tyrion_LMG Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 We’ve been knew, another album like Solar Power would bury her career in the pits.

That's way I'm glad to be the same age as her. Her discography matches my phases of life so perfectly and each one of her past releases is so nostalgic for me now. Been there, done that. Queen.

It's also immature to hate on Lorde for not releasing Melodrama 2.0 (which people expected from her) when she's just doing what most artists do (those with integrity at least) - which is not repeating the same album twice
Gorjesspazze9 Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 SP was good but forgettable. You could put on Pure Heroine or Melodrama now and they would still slap Hard. Solar power didn’t even last a few months before I stop playing it.

truthteller Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 not yall simping over solar PANel at least she's well aware that no one's here for her middle-class getaway beachy resort lobby music
AndresVanDeKamp Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 SP haters lack emotional maturity and are stuck in 2017. Tragiqué!
punisher Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 i might sound crazy but lorde would sound so good in hyperpop, with production like tears, lucky, backseat, out of my head, track 10 from pop 2
