Ruth B - "Dandelions"

I double-checked if there wasn't already a thread for this, I was surprised. Beautiful song, and Ruth B is lovely.

Dandelions has charted for 18 consecutive weeks on the Bubbling Under, invented longevity :wanda:. Compare that to Nicki Minaj's Trollz charting for only 4 weeks on Billboard, for example, despite its higher peak. Dandelions is currently top 40 on HAC radio, top 50 on AC radio, and being pushed to pop radio.

There are at least 5 videos of this song with over 20 million views on Youtube, the demand :deadbanana:. And that's without there ever being a music video - she should get on that.

Why isn't her label pushing it

I think she left Columbia and is now signed to another label. They’ve given it some playlist support though.

Deserves to be way bigger on radio given that, I wish they started the radio push earlier

"After signing with Columbia Records, then making the switch to Downtown Records" yes

I just went on her spotify...she actually has quiet alot of success on streaming. Plus 18 million monthly listeners.

Why did she leave her label?

A whopping 17 consecutive weeks on the Bubbling Under :clap3:

A lot of the success on streaming came after she left Columbia it seems.

I'm obsessed! Also very surprised this has 500+ million streams

Actually, her streams are VERY impressive. I haven't thought about her since Lost Boy was viral on Vine years ago, glad to see she found her niche

Oh, I remember hearing this back in 2017 during her Safe Haven album release era. I am glad it's getting it's flowers now, she deserves it. Her new album is good and cute. I think she's indie now? But I hope she gets her coins.

The bubbling under hit that keeps on bubbling. If it doesn't end up charting, I hope she at least breaks some sort of bubbling under record.

:clap3: Remarkable. She wasn't as flashy/trendy as Bazzi, Ella Mai, or Shawn Mendes, but Ruth B was the one Viner I was rooting for. (I'm aging myself a bit lol)
