Reminder to the uninformed, that gender-affirming care is literally any type of healthcare that respects a person's gender identity. This can include (but is not limited to) seeing a therapist that treats a trans patient like a person.

 

Unfortunately, Republicans have done an effective job of exploiting people's stupidity and hatred towards trans people by using language the average person is too ignorant to know about. There needs to be more organized pushback against this, but unfortunately Democrats have said they are not going to focus on LGBTQ+ issues, opting to instead focus on "bread and butter" issues Americans can agree on.

Fox News loves to word stuff like this as "encouraging children to be the opposite sex". They frame this as teachers and healthcare workers trying to "corrupt" childrens mind into thinking they are trans, as part of a Liberal agenda to churn out a generation of Democrat voters. Okay, they dont literally admit this, but if you read between the lines, this is why they are so against trans. to them, trans = a vote for democrats.

It's 2022. She doesn't do it anymore. How in the hell are you going to focus on things that happened in the past instead of what's happening right now? Trans children and adults in Florida don't give a **** about what happened in the past all the way over in California. Why can't you so-called Progressives understand this? Harris deserves to be criticized for what she's done, but this thread has nothing to do with that jfc.

 

Anyways, this will only get worse. As long as Progressives refuse to vote for people who can actually win and the Dems refuse to get behind a singular, unifying message, Reps will take over. 2025 is when being trans will become illegal.
