She signed her record deal when she was a teenager (16/17 years old) and they wanted her to become the next Britney or Katy.  They refused to fund her studio time for NTMT and Ghost EP, so she had to pay for everything herself.  She continued working as a model and actress to fund studio time for her yet to be released album, imagery, MVs, etc.  Yes, she is definitely at fault for the lack of releases, but not having label support or funding to make music is clearly a major roadblock, especially when the label hates her for being a bad investment (not following along with the pop girl mold they wanted for her).

Not really, it was more like Halsey asked for some of the people Sky worked with on MVs and such (specifically Sky's good friend, Grant Singer).  I don't really blame her, but I can see why Sky would get pissed.  Another artist on her label was basically lifting from Sky's aesthetic and hiring her friends, with full support and funding from the same exact label that told Sky to fund her own work and delayed her releases so many times.  That's offensive.

I also don't understand Sky's obsession with dragging Halsey. Halsey doesn't control Sky's releases. Why not just name names at the label, the ones that are holding her back?

Yes she has been treated like shite by Capitol but you can tell that there was hype and had support from the label for the follow up material after the critical success of NTMT. She got herself in label limbo again by failing to release anything and Don't Forget was not worth an almost 10 years wait

And even then she still gets green lit to release unlike some other girl. Y'all always speaking about the quality of Ashley's music when her last two albums have a higher score than Sky's "magnum opus".  She was totally ripping off Rihanna and Lana with her last album

NTMT scored a 79 in 2013, years before poptimism, Halsey would be scoring 40s and 50s
