Tbh the 3D models are kinda disappointing because they seem straight from a video game. :skull: I really thought they would be using at least the type of technology that Hollywood's been using when recreating actors.

I think this has potential, it seems really interesting... but I wouldn't pay for it. Not now. Perhaps in a metaverse concert kind of thing, maybe.

From the audience reactions i‘ve read the consensus seems to be that the abbatars are amazing on stage, but they get a bit uncanny on the big screens.

Understandable, she's the oldest at 76. Björn and her actually share the same birthyear.

We, ABBA fans, have to prepare ourselves for the day the bad news come out soom :gaycat6:

zero percent? these abbatars have been hyped for like 10 years. Also the ones at the opening got to see them in person so again zero percent lol This chicka had a blast

you are sounding so familiar

I feel like a whistle blower in certain countries back in the beginning of the Covid-19

There’s zero pandemic, and zero disappointed fans

congrats on being hyped tho

They all look cute, That white dress on Agnetha is gorgeous! :heart2:

The way they deaged them hurts me.

people calling it a scam - it was always announced as a hologram tour lol, like if you can't read and still buy tickets that's on you

anyways reviews from critics and public that I've seen have been nothing but positive and if I got a chance I'd 100% go to see this show

I honestly think a lot of people saw “ABBA comeback with residency” and bought tickets and didn’t bother to check the fine print.

This. I was so close to buying tickets and then I saw it wasn’t them performing

I can’t imagine how disappointed the fans must’ve been

that’s a fraud

Literally 0%. It's getting rave reviews, packed every night and people are loving it. The stadium is round the corner from my flat and I've had so many friends go and see it. They have all loved it and raved about how good it is. I'm not particularly an ABBA fan, so it'd do nothing for me, but fans certainly aren't disappointed.

No no, let them live in their delusion that people actually hate it :lakitu: It‘s what makes them happy, i assume :lakitu:

Great to hear your friends had a great time!

Nnnn not atrlers inventing imaginary backlash from the fans just because they don't like the hologram idea.

It looks great and I'd love to go if the show came to my country.

Also, Agnetha and Frida were basically the original MPGs and are still legends. :clap3:

Honestly, it’s a cool idea. One day, ABBA is not gonna be her anymore. Imagine how amazing it is that could still potentially visit an Abba concert in 100 years.

Over 300k tickets sold. ABBA keep winning

ATRL can suffer, the show is a massive, triumphant SUCCESS! :clap3:

NEVER been done before, and certainly won't be the last time! All the retired acts will be pining for their own Voyagesque show!

And they aren't holograms. It's just a video clip played on a huge screen.

Ugh these legends. Hopefully da show comes to da states so I can see it.

everyone and my dead abuela knew they were holograms

So they're not there in person, you just go watch CG recreations of them? Or holograms?

I kinda get that the crowds could be kinda muted because well they’re projections/digital so they don’t know/feel/care if you are screaming or cheering for them; I guess there’s no interactions/banter with the public and they drop lines but not the ones expecting an answer?

I’m in Mexico but tempted to go next year if I visit London, the setlist is a choice having some obscure singles (like the first two songs) when they left so many good ones out.

These digital/hologram-type of shows are always creeping me out especially when they do this to artists who aren't alive anymore cause it feels like an exploitation

But i'm sure all 4 of ABBA's approve this then i'm okat with it

Hologram shows are an abomination.

Well ABBA are apart of the making. It’s not just all digitally done. You can see here

Gorillaz should do something like this

This is so creepy... All these people paid hundreds to watch an empty stage and listen to studio recordings... :deadvision:
