oh it's not bad

I guess they'll never beat Sweden 2016 with 204m viewers

A decline from last year but they lost Russian viewership which contributed a significant proportion of viewership

Their numbers are declining every year, this is what happens when you have no Turkey and only boring male ballads in the final!

Tea but I think this is more related to overall TV viewership decline over the years and countries like Russia being OUT :deadbanana4:

Oh it is. But Eurovision needs a jury OUT. Televote only is better

The number the EBU releases are the people who watched at least one minute of the contest, the real number of average viewers who actually followed a considerable amount of the final is about 60-70 million per year. Anyway more and more people are migrating to online streaming + this year there's no data from Russia and Ukraine as the former lost broadcasting rights and the latter wasn't tracked by Nielsen.

it's clear that the jury system is a mess when they don't recognize brilliance like serbia this year, while the audience did.

Only televote was a mess though, every country just gave maximum points to their neighbors :rip: Some of the winners from that era are very very questionable

More than The Grammy's , VMAs, and Oscars combined:clap3:
