Beyoncé Knowles Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 That ugly green dress again... I want to burn every green dress out there
Rocket Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 They're too busy creating iconic music moments. No one wants to be known as a celebrity coat hanger.
suburbannature Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 They have success outside of a dress that should have been given to Goodwill three decades ago.
Jeremiah Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 Ugh, if that dress was at least pretty in first place OT: Madonna recreated the cone bra for the MDNA (?) Tour, and, although not iconic, Beyoncé and Lady Gaga have reused old looks.

aesthetic bih Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 Becuz it's harder to pull it off in this age. Having a viral Tiktok moment is where it's at now.

Or a seasonal singer JLo's to busy with her lucrative career, been constantly booked and busy, on top of juggling her massive Fragrance/fashion/beauty empire she's got new 4 new films on the way, a new documentary on Netflix, New music, and planning another world tour, and many other things in the pipeline That's what happens when your still indemand... not everyone gets to experience that 25 years into there career, there relinquished to slapping there faces on Potato chips and PC games and planning there career around a Christmas jingle
Ibrahim Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 (edited) Is it supposed to be a good thing that the most significant memory people associate with JLo is the objectification of her body as the focal point of her contribution to popular culture? Edited May 27, 2022 by Ibrahim

People be acting like it's a sure-fire, guaranteed bet to have a Christmas song that increases in worldwide popularity every year; one that you could also have singing and co-writing credits on and that only 2 people crafted. As if an xmas hit was just handed to her. NO. She made that. And if it were that easy, why aren't any other artists achieving it? Edited May 27, 2022 by Ibrahim
Achilles. Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 Why hasn't any pop girl recreated an iconic fashion moment like JLo's Versace dress? Because celebrity fashion has become so visible and varied that you basically have to dress in raw meat in order to stand out from the crowd? Nothing is special or rare or unique anymore, and the images are all easily accessible on news media and social media and, yes, Google Images. “Did you see what ___ wore?” is hardly a topic of conversation anymore. How can it be when it’s nearly impossible to do something noteworthy?

We’ll wait. but yes, they wouldn’t understand the talent it requires to write a classic song (one of several she has) when they stan someone who doesn’t sing her own songs.
Cryptique Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 Gaga pulled a lot of iconic fashion moments.. Also, why is that dress so hyped up.. it's fvgly
Protocol Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 Gaga’s meat dress is much more recognizable and relevant today regardless of how many times JLol tries to recreate it to resurrect her expired career
insomniac Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 @Josh at least put the correct dress in the OP The others are just two plays of it when Versace celebrated its 20Y anniversary with Jen.
