Those folks wanting a school shooting episode are like the Exhale owner removing gun gifs as a way of showing support for stricter gun control. :bibliahh:

Yes, and the episode was literally called "Shooting Star", and it aired four months after Sandy Hook... so incredibly tone deaf. The episode was well acted and actually quite powerful, but it was still very ill timed and just a bad and insensitive idea overall.

a teacher had a gun that accidentally went off and no one was hurt but the scenes leading up to that revelation were pretty traumatic

She's totally right.

Its not all politics. Mass media and entertainment is part of the gun culture.

Children are literally dying and the theatrical **** show that is America will still not do anything about it, but it's an episode of Abbott Elementary that's supposed to effect change? Okay :clown:

I get her point but a 'popular' show tackling a timely topic is something that can really make waves (ie.  Golden Girls, Will and Grace as a whole && Brokeback Mountain for Gay Rights and issues, Rosseta's affect of Belgian Wage Laws, or Thin Blue Line and other countless crime documentaries affecting trials and cold cases) by helping public opinion and giving a nuance perspective. It can get sketchy but its a noble thing if done well. But its her show,  its her choices.
