not saying you're doing this, but I do want to point out that it's often a racist trope to say that black girls look older than they are. it often also comes with unfair treatment, less empathy for them, expectation that they should behave a certain way, etc. you can read about it more here.

related to what I shared or not, it's weird behaviour overall, especially when aimed at a child who since her birth has faced both outright and covert racism from the media and online commentators alike that has ranged from discussion on her hair, her appearance, or even an entire article written to give her, a child, "advice".

 

regarding Blue Ivy, people do too much, so excuse me if I point out when another racist trope is being used alongside discussion of her, intended or not.
