That was in 2020 when they almost lost their life and obviously could care less about charts. Maybe now they care more but they can’t fully care or else they’d get hurt bc it’s not something you can control. Demi’s team is at fault here, Demi flew all the way to NYC just to perform the song live on Fallon. Demi prepared a music video, incredible cover art, AMAZING song, and even finished the album even though they just released one last year. They even had 3 outfit changes yesterday, hosted an Instagram livestream after obviously being exhausted having done Fallon. Give Demi credit, they did everything right from their end. It's a shame Safehouse Records that she created with Nick never truly materialized and got off the ground, but the fact that it's so tied to Phil makes me think it's for the best... Regardless, I just hope she can ditch Island soon.. fumbling so badly once might be a result of bad luck or poor judgment, but mismanaging two consecutive leads is simply not sustainable. I had to pull up an unofficial audio video to listen it's okay, I like the chorus. but it feels like they forgot about the verses the bridge does sound really good! The idea of conspiracy theories tends to put me off, but the way Island and Demi’s current management consistently do this with every project they've recently released lowkey lends credibility to the fan speculation that it could, perhaps, be an intentional decision after all.
