The Slayer Posted May 21, 2022 Posted May 21, 2022 (edited) The tweets responding to this are pretty negative because they are worried she won't be given much promo outside the UK like Little Mix I'm really hoping she gets pushed outside the UK too. Jade signed with Full Stop Management (Harry Styles, Lizzo, etc.). Leigh-Anne signed with Tap Management (Dua Lipa and Lana Del Rey), Leigh's new manager is Dua Lipa's former manager. tbhmatt Posted May 21, 2022 Posted May 21, 2022 In all seriousness, though, did Sam & modest look after their international promotion? Because if not, we can’t really blame them for much since they were never really lacking with UK based promo throughout their career. Perrie has always seemed to be a ‘stick with what she knows and where she feels comfortable’ kinda person though so this isn’t overly surprising. It would have been nice to see her branch out completely and explore other options/collaborators like Jade and Leigh-Anne seem to be doing… but as long as she’s happy with the choices she’s making and she serves quality, that’s the most important thing!

IBeMe Posted May 21, 2022 Posted May 21, 2022 None of them will be big global stars so who cares? They should all focus on the UK and Oceania. Jade is the one with most global potential but even she will prob mimicking a Rita Ora type of level of global success I think. Fans need to stop being delusional and get that the best move for the girls is to focus on having UK hits like Cheryl did when she went solo.
Mtjjproducer Posted May 21, 2022 Posted May 21, 2022 Honestly I don’t see any of them having any success in the us so it’s not that big of a deal

The girls are insanely talented, lightyears ahead of the current UK pop girls. They deserve to be global and finally be given a push individually.
Power love Posted May 21, 2022 Posted May 21, 2022 I think it’s disgusting how negative fans are being. I’m really starting to understand why pop girls are taking massive breaks between albums. The comments are toxic. Just be happy for her. Little mix was extremely successful so how is it a death to her career? Make it make sense
Nightingale Posted May 21, 2022 Posted May 21, 2022 I’ve always been an American fan of theirs but they’ve already tried breaking the US as a group when they were at their peak and it didn’t work. I’m hopeful but I don’t see any of them being big US solo stars. It’s probably better for her longevity if she goes hard at the UK market

I don’t think any of the girls would expect or even attempt to re-launch themselves there, they’re all very aware it didn’t work out for them as Little Mix so I’m sure they know it would be even harder to do it solo. Perrie honestly would be the last person I’d expect to want to give America another go 4 minutes ago, IBeMe said: None of them will be big global stars so who cares? I agree that they’re unlikely to become bigger stars globally than they are in the UK, but they have plenty of international fans and a lot more than most people seem to think

They have a built up UK fan base and need to exploit that and have big mostly UK focused era like Cheryl. There is literally nothing wrong with that. I rather they focus on the UK market and maybe a bit of Europe and Oceania than have them try to crack America and fail and not capitalize on the hype they have in the UK.
ATRL Administrator Ryan Posted May 21, 2022 ATRL Administrator Posted May 21, 2022 Maybe she doesn’t plan on breaking in the US? It’s quite fine for her to be a star in her own country. Fans who like her will like her wherever they are.
shark_heather Posted May 21, 2022 Posted May 21, 2022 The girls are not going for a Worldwide massive success anyways I just hope they release some good music and all 3 of them see at least 1 massive single in UK
ATRL Moderator kelly-clarkson Posted May 22, 2022 ATRL Moderator Posted May 22, 2022 I'm not sure how global they can be as solo, but I don't think this is the worst scenario for Perrie. Since she has the same management as Little Mix, on the bright side her manager probably knows the type of audience she wants to reach and what works for her. I don't think it's really important for the girls to be global, they should focus on building a fan base (even if it means they won't become big).

Yawn Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 modest will do massive things for perrie in the UK which is where she should be focused anyway as she has a lot of name recognition and celebrity. the intention will probably be to go all out in the UK so modest is obviously the best option to do that.
Sad Serenade Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 Little Mix neither Jesy Nelson with a Nick Minaj collab and a sort of hyped singles happened in the US (or WW). I don't even think they will be huge as solo WW. She's trying to be solid in her market too, like LM were. Smart actually.

Their UK promo has always been bare minimum, Modest relied heavily on X Factor slots. Girls Aloud, Spice Girls all had TV documentary & specials yet Little Mix never. They couldn't have even secured a farewell documentary? A Live at the BBC a la Ariana? Their radio plugging team did a fantastic job in the UK however. They easily have more radio hits than the likes of 1D, even though they were seen as far more successful. Praying for you Perrie. I imagine Leigh-Anne and Jade, even if not as successful as Little Mix, will have their eyes opened and realise just how much their team stifled their international potential.
