So we're getting this cheap **** of a fairytale we didn't ask for instead of the live action Hercules we've been begging for for years???

Weird that (I think) there’s still no look at Ariel from the live action one. and that one has been in production for longer and stopped filming a while ago.

there were a few pics actually and the internet had a massive debate about Halle's hair but most of it is gonna be CGI for obvious reasons so

OT: looks ugly asf

Yall always do the ABSOLUTE most based on set pics alone....

It's kinda giving Halloween costume there but I think it will look great in the movie lol. Still think it's gonna be a trainwreck tho

They need to stop making remakes.

the "dress" is pretty ugly. super unflattering.

But normally Disney misses with live action remakes.... remember Belle's live action dress? a mess.

I'm guessing they'll do a lot of CGI on her? :rip: Otherwise....

Looks like we’ll have to wait a bit more to see how Ariel will look on camera:

OP: even without CGI other costumes have looked fantastic in person (like Cinderella) so I don’t have high hopes for this

I trust Sandy Powell but…. How did we go from Cinderella to this…

She seems like a nice girl and I will always root for a fellow Hispanic in Hollywood, but she is all wrong for this role. There was already a recent live action Snow White so audiences will compare her to Kristen Stewart and it’s just not giving. Snow White is supposed to be so beautiful that the most vein woman in the world becomes jealous of her and wants to kill her. No offence to Rachel but she does not have the facials for this. If they wanted to cast a Latina they should’ve gone with Becky G who is ludicrously pretty.

Probably because there's more CGI involved. The first look is reportedly coming September 10

So they couldn’t give scar a black mane but they can recreate her ugly ass childrens costume party dress to be screen accurate?

I've seen p0rn parodies with a bigger budget :ahh:

Although everything is probably gonna be CGI'd and filtered to death

Why is this my EXACT opinion!! I think everyone here is doing too much because obviously it'll look better in the movie with CGI/lighting and stuff but that movie is definitely going to be terrible with the changes they're going to make.

Yeah let’s skip to tangled call Lilli Reinhart
