A new Ocean’s Eleven film starring Margot Robbie is in “active development” at Warner Bros., Deadline can confirm. Four-time Emmy winner Jay Roach is looking to direct the pic, which is not yet greenlighted.

While we hear that the film scripted by Carrie Solomon will be set in Europe in the 1960s, further details with regard to its plot are being kept under wraps. Robbie and Tom Ackerly will produce for LuckyChap, alongside Roach and Michelle Graham for Everyman Pictures. Gary Ross, Olivia Milch and LuckyChap’s Josey McNamara will exec produce alongside Village Roadshow, which may also co-finance the project. Warner Bros. is eyeing a production start in spring of 2023.

No it didn't? It did very well, more than tripled its budget

If she's doing this, I wonder if the rumours that she's in the running to lead the female Pirates of the Caribbean reboot is still true. I feel like it'd be too many "female version" films for her.

bring in Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett from Oceans 8 :jonny5:I need to see Lou and Debbie again

She keeps on winning :jonny2:

Her upcoming slate of movies is fantastic

Damien Chazelle's "Babylon"

David O. Russell's "Amsterdam"

Greta Gerwig's "Barbie"

Wes Anderson's "Asteroid City"

The Pirates Of The Caribbean movie

and now an Ocean's 8 prequel too

And she booked all these high-profile gigs before she even won an Oscar (which she'll win next year) :jonny:

"ocean's 8" is iconic just for it's interviews and press junkets, they were all on crack. with sarah paulson supplying the crack beforehand to everyone

Love Margot but not her getting this and Pirates :deadbanana4: so weird. I know Birds of Prey or TSS didn't do good but she should be working on a Gotham City Sirens film like :toofunny3:

In her early to mid 2010s JLaw era.

From the Past 5 years alone: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Suicide Squad 2020, Babylon, Barbie, Promising Young Woman, Birds of Prey, Bombshell, Asteroid City, potential Fantastic Four Sue Storm, now Oceans Eleven.

Shes been in either box office flops that are critically acclaimed prestige projects, big comic book movies or flagship IPs. Truly the reigning actress rn

Shes doing so many box office hits and Oscar baits rn its crazy shes able to juggle both.

And if she gets paid measly by this she'll recuperate it all w the shitton of back end deals shell make w the MCU once she debuts as Sue Storm there, shes gonna be like the biggest name in the eventual Avengers lineup (yes bigger than Crisp Rat who's only rlly big as Star Lord)
