Remember that this is because the PP introduced the change to try eliminate abortion 'on demand' back in 2015, which forced 16 and 17-year-olds to need parental permission for abortion.

 

However, there should be no age restriction on this whatsoever, so I hope that Spain will go even further in allowing this to those under the age of 16 as well.

Imagine having to stick with an unwanted child for all of your life at 16 because your parents were so religious that they didn't want you to have sexual education at school. And 99% of religious people are against abortion so they'd be willing to make their children pay for their own mistakes.

One of the girl from my school was pregnant at 16 and was FORCED by her religious and conservative parents to get an abortion all because her boyfriend was muslim from financially low income family. LOL conservatives are only pro-life if the babies in question are white and christian
