can she actually serve anger tho, this reminds me when she called blue banisters rock candy sweet a revenge album then it ended up being more ballads.

Well didn't insiders say that before deciding on Blue Banisters track list & etc she scrapped the whole album that was meant to be Rock Candy Sweet? idk tho

I’m obviously excited for the new album whatever she releases but being a longtime fan I stopped trusting her ages ago. She changes her mind constantly and doesn’t care about sticking to her words. I hope to be surprised I wouldn’t mind an entire album of dealer though, something new for her. She can make piano ballads but it’s getting tiring.

I definitely agree, &&&& this might be a bit controversial. But I think some of the blame should be put onto the insiders. If they weren't letting us know every move that she makes & etc, we wouldn't really know what she scrapped & decided to put on last minute etc. You know what I mean?

It’s a very wordy album.

watch her release the sequel to Violet Bent backward over the Grass.
In the meantime, I'll keep streaming Thunder - her best song since Summer Bummer.

i'm so into her rambling personal material. i was revisiting honeymoon/lust for life the other day and was shocked at the jump in quality she made on the next three albums. she's onto something truly special.

Umm . . what . . mostly talented and acclaimed ones? :toofunny3:

A cute and funny attempt at distracting from your original claim that BB is her best album!

Eyeliner

7.1.22

Erickson, Del Rey, Antonoff

"and by pouring salt on closed wounds

or writing new tunes

I’d thought I’d shine a bit brighter

Than the constellation in your lonely sky

your sweet but sour Gemini

Would we take the trip with our children down to Anaheim?

when you know that I’m

only accessible in the summertime

Would I go down to the bar just to rest my elbows on the mahogany

Not entirely certain, I don’t know, yeah, probably

Beats sitting at home alone staring at your lame photography

There’s a ton of things I wish I could still do

Like dream of something else other than you

But some things are out of my control

It’s not like eyeliner where I could decide where it ends

How the line curves where it peaks where it bends

It outlines my emeralds and catch yours"

I want a new direction, sonically.

I know what you mean but the diehard Lana stans will tell you each album is sonically different (rolls eyes).

I suspect GP is going to look back on this "automatic singing" era she started with Blue Banisters and figure out how excellent it was. She can sacrifice the mainstream appeal because all her old stuff goes viral anyway.
