You understand that Johnny Depp walked around with an entourage including securities etc, right? And that Amber Heard has pretty much proven the diagnosis given to her of BPD by Johnny's psychologist as false by maintaining extremely calm throughout 4 days of grilling when in the stand.

My ex was very good at being able to keep his cool in public. Insanely good at it and it came out behind closed doors.

No person with BPD is good at keeping emotional control under stressful situations that last days. And adding to the case, a mutual friend who loved with the two just confirmed Johnny was abusive towards Amber today in trial.

Oh women who are less stronger can still be abusive. This is a ridiculous comment and a little sexist

I'm not saying he wasn't abusive. I'm just saying you can have "power" in a situation and still be abused, while also being an abuser.

I mean this is the true fact no one should stan either of them

There's no such thing as "mutual abuse". Judging off the timeline of events, it's pretty obvious Amber did fight back after being abused and put into a dangerous situation by Johnny.

Just because you fight back against your abuser doesn't mean you aren't a victim. Also the whole point being lost in this case is that this is a defamation trial based on an op-ed Amber wrote in which Johnny was never named. There's no grounds for him to claim defamation. It's him who keeps pushing for these trials and not letting things go because he wants so badly to be seen as the good guy.

"He clearly was always way more powerful including physically and financially.”

This dumbass is one drink away from saying "women can't abuse men". Holy ****, she's dumb.

Both Amber & Johnny are trash but I'm tired of this narrative regarding women and abuse. Male domestic abuse is more common than people think. It's not about size, gender or strength; it's about control & power. Abuse is not just physical, it can be emotional, verbal and or financial. And women can abuse the system so the ball is on their court. We might live in a patriarchal society but it's effects can be felt both ways; men can have just of a hard time admitting to being abused because of the expectations we place on men. "How could a women abuse you? You're a man." I mean, no wonder men tend to commit suicide more often than women. :shakeno: I can't believe y'all got me sounding like a mens' rights activist. :deadbanana4:

I’ve heard their marriage counsellor describe their relationship as mutually abusive. There are no winners. Everyone is a victim and a perpetrator.

Although I have to say if Heard is found innocent then she is an incredibly strong person to be able to go through this trial with all this slandering and abuse she’s receiving from the public. If Heard is innocent, this would only prove why so many women don’t come forward..

It's ok she's doing as much as her cognitive capacities allow her to do. A lot in common with people still believing her story at this point but luckily they are not many. Faith in humanity restored :celestial2:

You're right, men can be abused too, and more often than not they're not believed because of the expectations put upon them by our patriarchal society. STILL, tell me, who had more control and power in this relationship? The three time Academy Award nominee, whose net worth is currently 150 million dollars, or the C-list actress?

I'm not sure why people are trying to apply what she said to all instances of abuse, when she was clearly talking about this specific scenario and the various factors that make the Heard-Depp scenario unique. I actually get her point.

Anyway, it's so weird seeing people want to take sides so badly in this, when evidence points to both being awful people, with Depp maybe being slightly worse.
