The point in this instance is that Depp sustained defensive blows as he - a stronger man - was physically abusive towards her. He held the power in the relationship in many ways.

yup it doesn't excuse her actions, she clearly exhibited super violent, psycho, deranged and unfair behavior to him but just saying that johnny very clearly had the upper hand in the power dynamic in this relationship as is exhibited by how many heels were broken by people running in here defend him and on everybody's tiktok and youtube explore pages flooded with supportaganda for him

He's not innocent and she's not innocent but none of those things negate the fact that she's not abusive.

i agree. i think perhaps julia's definition of abuse is a little narrow, but i definitely agree with her in pointing out the power dynamic.

I mean, I paid for everything for my ex, I was a lot larger than him, but none of that changed the fact that with his Borderline Personality Disorder, he would fly off the HANDLE over small things. He would berate me over and verbally abuse me and eventually became physically abusive as well, despite me having the power.

 

So I don't necessarily agree having lived it first hand.
