Gorjesspazze9 Posted January 11 Posted January 11 I liked how they showcased her powers in the last episode. Really makes the Echo name fit. Spoiler I was hoping they would go more into the dragon lore since that’s the whole plot of Netflix Defenders. And she even referenced it in Hawkeye and here. I’m curious how the dragon bones under New York in defenders connects to this. Since Echo dad said dragons are from another dimension or something. Like Shang-chi and Ironfist. A magical city with dragons in another realm. It’s there but I hope they flesh this out some more on the mystical MCU side someday

Hephaestus Posted January 11 Author Posted January 11 Oh this was great, I hope it gives Disney courage to veer into more mature stories and themes like they did here because there's so much potential, especially on the street level side of the universe. Loved how each episode was dedicated to an ancestor and their power, plus how it connected to Maya's story. Good use of callbacks from other Marvel movies/series, it didn't feel overdone and it was actually very tasteful. Finale felt a tiiiiny bit rushed, but I'm not too mad about it. I had literally below zero expectations for this project but they did a really good job, now I'm actually interested in the character and would like to see more of her in the future. Interesting post credit scene, I wonder if it's a teaser for what's coming next in Daredevil and/or Spider-Man 1
Drowned8World Posted January 11 Posted January 11 i didn't even know this was out already until i opened Disney+ today i feel like no one gives a fk about Marvel anymore. Loki was the best thing they did for D+ and the second season made zero noise 1
cruelhprince Posted January 11 Posted January 11 binge watched this and it was pretty good!! I hope Maya shows up in more MCU projects 1
Blue. Posted January 12 Posted January 12 (edited) The finale is the biggest **** in Marvel history. Literally an afterthought. First half of the show is good, but it goes downhill pretty fast after episode 3. The representation of the powers was so lackluster. Edited January 12 by Blue.
loveisdead9582 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 It was a decent show. Better than some but not as good as others. We had to do a lot of guess work as to the dynamics of the town and everyone’s relationships. I know that they are trying to give their heroes recognizable powers but idk what was wrong with her keeping her comic book set. Overall it wasn’t bad. I enjoyed the cultural aspects of it. Some of the imagery was good. I’d watch another season if it came out. I will say that binge dropping the whole season was a great idea. 1

They fine. (Tho it’s true Loki made little noise) but it was well received

SweetTalker Posted February 8 Posted February 8 The show had potential but it’s another flop for marvel.
Gorjesspazze9 Posted February 9 Posted February 9 (edited) Echo is officially #10 on Nielsen Overall Streaming Chart for January 8th-14! Disney & Hulu Via Variety Claim it’s a Major success for the studios With 731M Minutes Streamed by Nielsen ratings, it’s the 10th most streamed show on the chart for January. And it’s been reported that viewers account associated with Echo have boosted viewership on Daredevil & Hawkeye on the Disney+ App. but random atrl user said it was a flop?😂 Edited February 9 by Gorjesspazze9 1
KFC Posted February 14 Posted February 14 I'm on Episode 2 and this is the most boring **** I've seen in a long time does it get better? 1
Gorjesspazze9 Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Doing great on streaming still Like I been saying, that variety expose was downplaying how big marvel still is. Especially after this week’s insane pop off. Daredevil born again is gonna be massive.
