Did she lie? Yes several times.

 

I love Lana but, no way I would put her in the top 10 or even 50 greatest lyricist of all time. Like Paradise, Honeymoon, Lust4Life, BB, Chemtrials, and Born to Die all have duds with Freak having some of the worst lyrics of all time. Just because she has a recent critical album does not mean that suddenly she is the Joni Mitchell of this generation.

 

Until she can give better lyrics than the legendary Johnny Cash, the answer will always be No.
