Genius1111 Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 (edited) You should be grateful that you have a fighting chance to vaccinated early, even if you feel that the politicians and officials in your country are a bunch of flops. I've not heard any Asian countries talking about vaccinating their populations, so I assume they have not been successful in procuring them. Edited August 4, 2022 by Genius1111
Gavin. Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Not my local health districts website being down the last two days when they were allegedly going to be receiving some doses this week. I just want to get jabbed already. Is anyone here from Los Angeles and got the vaccine? Thinking about doing a trip there if it’s easily available

Vermillion Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Finally managed to schedule a monkeypox vaccine for next week, after driving four hours and after being promised Fairfax accepted walk-ins two days earlier. Of course I find out once getting there, they don't . They asked if I needed both the first and second shot on their exclusive online form so fingers crossed they can offer both, but I'm not holding my breath. Hopefully I don't catch COVID in the interim
Hector Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 ^ Finally! Maybe now people will finally take it seriously. The amount of LGBTQ people & the GP that still are acting like this isn't a problem.
XAMJ Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 healthcare workers are TIRED. no one in my department wants to see a MP patient. i dont blame them

I am NOT an anti-vaxxer by any means, before y'all drag me - I get the flu shot every year and am vaxxed and boosted for COVID. But I do have a serious chronic condition that can be aggravated when my immune system is under pressure. So when it comes to new vaccines, my doctor advises me to weigh the pros/cons. An obvious response to this is "the vaccine side effects are better than catching monkeypox," and that may be true, but for someone with my health issues, it may make more sense to avoid being vaccinated if the vaccine triggers severe side effects and just remain celibate/avoid queer spaces for a while. I am curious to know how severe the side effects were for this reason. I'm leaning towards getting it, but still unsure. Thanks in advance! Edit: I should also mention that when I got the Moderna COVID vaccine in February 2021, it caused intense night itching that continues to this day and is likely to be chronic/never go away. so that's why I'm potentially inclined to just stay celibate and avoid large queer gatherings than get vaccinated. I've been itchy for a year and a half and I'm scared that a pox vaccine will make me even itchier I got my first shot yesterday I had zero side effects. just a very little pain on my arm but nothing major.

ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted August 4, 2022 ATRL Moderator Posted August 4, 2022 OMG you have no how much I do not want this shit But it's basically impossible to get it in southern cali. I have a couple events (no, not orgies) this weekend too Am I overthinking going to a concert/house party?
HeavyMetalAura Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 I managed to get a vaccine appointment today. But I could only get it on August 14th. I go to the Chromatica Ball on August 11th. I fear it may be a superspreader event guess we'll see!
CaptainMusic Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 This thread makes me realise how lucky I am to be British, it was very easy and quick to get vaccinated here. 5 hours ago, Hector said: ^ Finally! When people see stats like 6 deaths out of over 26,000 cases, they will struggle to take this seriously As it stands this is nowhere near as bad as COVID, the worry is that it mutates or the much more deadly Congo strain spreads

FreeXone Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 Here is my confusion. They say it is not contagious during incubation period. So who in hell is going out spreading it with active sores?! Maybe they think it is just heat rash or something? I tell you I even see a pimple or bump on someone i get scared...the phobia is REAL

There have been piles of other concerts and festivals and I havent heard of anything. UNLESS we are being only notified of the serious cases and there are actually a lot of asymptomatic and mild cases roaming around. Maybe everyone doesnt break out in lesions? Who knows.

From what he said he was really horny and just went to have someone suck his D, those places are usually not very well-lit. It sounds horrifying that there would be people who go around despite having sores on their bodies but I wouldn't put it past some guys tbh. Some men don't care about anything other than getting off. It's also possible that a lot of people are mistaking the early symptoms for acne or not noticing them, but at that point they're already contagious anyway. I'm just speculating.

Your job is to take care of sick people. "I don't want to see a sick person" What a selfish attitude. If you can't do your job then find another job.

You went through the training and get paid every month for it. Now you don't want to do it because you could catch something? What about all the other things you could've caught that existed before? Or is it because it's happening to gay people? Which is it? Go find another job if you can't do your job. Let other people who are willing to help sick people do the job of helping sick people. I hope ATRL reveals your IP and gets you fired. You are a risk to the healthcare of people in whatever hospital you work in. @ATRL Administration Bruh chill I don’t blame health care workers one bit for having fatigue. They were raved as the hero’s during beginning Covid but got no extra pay or anything besides praise which doesn’t pay the bills and isn’t worth the stress of the early days of Covid. Then they were quickly turned on after a few months of Covid and constantly verbally assaulted by crazies and not appreciated by most anymore and STILL not given proper compensation. can’t blame them for not wanting to go through another contagious thing with how shitty people treat them now and with no extra pay we/they can complain about our jobs all we want and still do them also tho so chill
