Wait wait wait. As much as I loved the film, I just remembered a plot point of the movie (or one that was sort of implied at least) that went completely unresolved?

When Wade was looking for where all the water was coming from, he mentioned motor oil several times and how surprising that was, including when they found that the flood door was damaged. I was getting the idea that maybe it would be revealed the person who damaged the door (because it definitely looked intentional) was using some kind of equipment that would be tied back into the mention of motor oil earlier in the film. I was getting the idea maybe someone prejudiced against fire elements purposely did that to have the water flood them out.

Am I missing something or did they just go nowhere with that plot path? :deadbanana:

Wait now that I think about it some more, I'm thinking the motor oil was from the train that would push the water into that area, but that still leaves the question of who/what broke the door unanswered, right?

This was the only thing that bothered me too.

Spoiler

I was expecting a Zootopia-esque reveal especially when the water mum was talking about all the glass buildings.

I’m shocked at how good this film was. I was expecting a full on disaster with the way some people have been acting about it. I think it’s the best Disney Pixar film of recent memory, they’ve been consistently bad lately but this was great

They really trolled themselves by sending this to Cannes. This would have easily been at 90%+ if not for those pressed snobs.

Whoever came up with that idea deserves the boot.

This was actually very cute and pretty enjoyable. I can see why it would be awkward to market tbh but I will be streaming once it’s on streaming services. Reminds me of Onward which I also thought was fun and enjoyable.

$300M WW? Oh wow.

It's still a flop, but...

Disney seriously needs to fire whoever planned the marketing for this because audiences seem to be actually responding to it.
