i’ve slowly fell in love with every song, the title track when those drums come in at the end… the ground shook.

hurricanes and catch me in the air are top 3 and the third changes daily, it was holy then it was forgiveness and atm it’s hold the girl omg

Tried listening again and started hysterically laughing during Minor Feelings :bibliahh: what kind of Disney remake OST song. And you just KNOW she thought she ate bc she chose it to OPEN the album

also dying at the essays about parental/childhood trauma as if the lyrics of this album don't spell it out for us :rip: Rina sis you learned about metaphors in British schools right? I hope? Use them

this is still the most hideous sophomore album I've ever heard

let me pretend she retired after SAWAYAMA so I can keep my stan card

If the album is as good as you think it is why do y'all care if someone doesn't like it?

bc you’re always spamming about how much you hate it and making threads? just leave your opinion and go like a normal person instead of coming back every other day fff

Even though the album is a noticeable downgrade from SAWAYAMA it still shares many of the same characteristics that made her debut great. I personally cannot fathom how one can LOVE her debut and then call this album "the most hideous sophomore album I've ever heard"...

Go ahead and voice your opinion but don't expect anyone to take you seriously making exaggerated statements like that.

I can’t believe I went through every single page of this thread watching both stans and haters go thru all stages of grief & for what?? It’s such an unremarkable album :deadbanana4: Nonetheless I just came to share my thoughts after a third listen all the way through; it’s definitely cohesive both in sound and subject matter but I don’t know if that’s something that added or took away anything per se (this time around I did listen to it shuffled and it still flowed nicely so that’s something), a lot of the criticism I read is valid tbh e.g. sounds dated, corny lyrics (don’t mind this as much as some of you who feel so strongly about it, after all TMAIA is one of my favorite Rina songs ) the power ballads (is that how you’d classify them?) are absolutely a highlight I don’t understand the hate… but oh well, overall there isn’t really a noticeable drop in quality from SAWAYAMA as I thought on first listen and there’s no downright bad songs either, I just don’t see myself returning to any of them except ~maybe~ imagining and your age, I am glad she got this out of her system tho

My ranking:

-Imagining

-Your Age

-To Be Alive (can’t believe the amount of tasteless losers trashing this all over the thread. disturbing, truly :doc:)

-Phantom (giving Disney era Demi ballad, a massive compliment btw)

-Hold The Girl

-Frankenstein

-Holy

-Forgiveness (sounds like something Madison Beer would sing)

-Catch Me In The Air

-This Hell

-Hurricanes

-Minor Feelings

-Send My Love To John

I sadly can't go but I'm SURE you're right; like it was totally constructed and written to be done live :alexz:

Not her skipping ONLY Forgiveness, when it should have been To Be Dead

Ugh yeah very true... I am sure they were trying everything but they def could have announced it way earlier in the day. I hope the rescheduled date is something I can go to :dancehall:

Have there been any whispers of a deluxe coming?
